Ulquiorra had grown used to the fact that it rained here and the cold didn't particularly bother the Espada, though water was pooling in the curve of his horn and causing his usually pristine clothes to cling to his body, revealing how thin he was, even in his sealed form. It did nothing to obscure his enhanced vision or ability to recognize reiatsu, however, and he easily recognized Orihime through the rain. He was relieved and still slightly confused to see her, though he had recovered enough from the event to hide his emotions behind his usual stoic mask as he walked up to her from behind. For once, he wasn't silent as he walked, water splashing slightly under his feet. "You've recovered from the exhaustion."

Orihime would have recognized his voice even had he taken the time to conceal his presence, but she hesitated slightly before turning to face him. Rangiku-san's words about his worry for her flitted through her mind, and looking at him, just as drenched as her, she had to admit that he would not have done this before.

"M-M-hmm..."

FFF now I want them to kiss in the rain. xD

He tilted his head slightly at seeing how thoroughly drenched she was and the worry for her well being that returned briefly made him think about his conversation with that Shinigami woman. He didn't pay any attention to the water that dripped off his mask and past his eye. "What are you doing?"

She might once have declined to give him that information, even if it was something so small. She brushed a wet strand of hair away from her face, looking him over with surprise as she realized just how thin he really was, even in his unreleased form. Surely that couldn't be healthy, even if he was meant to be her enemy...?

"I'm going to Unohana-san's clinic."

He watched as she moved the wet hair along her forehead and his frown deepened slightly. It couldn't be safe for a human to be so wet in the cold and, for whatever reason, he had continued to think of her safety as his responsibility even after Aizen had announced he no longer needed her. "Is it necessary?"

"She told me she had some warm clothes for the winter that I could borrow."

Orihime indicated the tattered dress that she had worn in Hueco Mundo silently, indicating that it was quite beyond repair. In shedding it, she might also be able to remove herself another step from all the failures the fabric held, and change this time for real.

Is the background still eye searing?

He reached out to touch the tattered edge of her sleeve, noting how thoroughly soaked it was. "Is it immediately necessary?"

Ulquiorra's touches were still a rather foreign terrain for her- though a part of her somewhere knew he would not cause her harm, seeing the ease with which he'd maimed Kurosaki-kun and Ishida-kun kept tension very present in her body.

Truth be told, she was quite eternally glad that her bra and underwear were white, especially with Ulquiorra around.
