Beyond turned around quickly. He starred at Kenta for a moment. "I have my ways to get in there. Do you think my victims would've let me in? I have to confess L is a harder case, but I still do not think I will fail." Beyond sighed. He had prayed that this moment would not happen. "I wish you had not come here. It would've been nice to meet you under other circumstates." He paused. "Don't get in my way. I promised Cissnei that I would try not to hurt or kill and it would be sad if you forced me to." He looks around. First on the house, then on his feet, the knife and finally on Kenta. "I told you this all is going to tear you appart!" Some kind of a insane laugh was leaving his mouth. "Kya ha... ha ha... Kya.. ha ha...!" His eyes widened. "Sounded good, didn't it? This is what I should laugh like. Evil, Insane. The psychopath I am. Come on! Hate me! HATE ME!! But you won't stop me!" He took a step forward, but he still looked on Kenta, just in case the guy would attack him. Fear had overtaken everything in his mind. Fear of... almost everything. Losing to L. Losing to Kenta. Fear of being hated again. Fear of being alone again. He didn't want Kenta to hate him. He was so happy in the last weeks. But this was older, stronger than every emotion which grew in the last time. He had to... do this. But what was "this"? He didn't really know...
L started, his keen senses picking up on a chilling laugh drifting in through the open window. His room was on the other side of the house, so he had to leave his room and go down the hall to see properly, after making sure that Fox didn't follow him. Something didn't feel right. He glanced out the window, and immediately noticed Kenta with... someone else.
It didn't take a genius to figure this one out, but he could see the steely flash of something sharp and metallic, and only one person hated him enough to kill him, in this place.
Though L's instinct was to stay as far away as possible from the man with the knife, Kenta was down there and he couldn't ignore this situation now that he'd become aware of it.

Kenta sighed and pushed himself up and away from the tree, taking a few small, careful steps towards Beyond, watching his reactions closely. He hated doing this - he hated it so much. Admittedly, more than Sasori, he had requested fighting lessons along the network because of B. Sasori didn't know him, Sasori had no interest in whether Kenta lived or died; Beyond, so far as he knew, didn't want Kenta to die, but at the same time, Kenta so desperately could not stand the thought of L dying.
"Oh. I'm sure you can be quite charming when you put your mind to it." He assured the other man, shuffling forward a few more feet. "But maybe I should have worded that differently; what makes you think I'll let you in?"
Beyond stared at him, his eyes the eyes of a scared animal. And what would a scared animal do, if there's no chance to run away? It would fight. And so would Beyond. Fight with the passion, you only can have when there's no other chance left. "I don't have the illusion you'd let me go in there out of free will", he hissed, "But it would be healthy for you. I'm stronger. Plus I have a knife. It's a very good knife. It's my favourite. Do you know, that knifes are one of my hobbies? I really do not want to hurt you, Kenta. Get. Out. Of. My. Way!" Beyond took another step in direction of L's House. The knife was pointing on Kenta. "Do not come over here", Beyond said with a warning voice. His eyes showed that he was able to do everything at the moment. But they also showed fear. He was so desperate.
"I don't think you should be advising anyone on healthy choices, B." Kenta said, pushing forward regardless of the pointy threat. Ka'nim had said, never put your all into the first punch, and he rather felt it applied to weapons as well. Just because he didn't have a dagger in his hands, didn't make him defenseless. "I really don't want to hurt you either, B. You have no idea how much I don't want to hurt you."
A few more steps and he was in front of the door, hands still in his pockets and eyes hidden by the shadow of the brim of his hat. He looked ridiculous in his Singing Brother costume, ripped and dirty and singed, but this wasn't really a matter of looking cool. "But I warned you from the beginning that I wouldn't let you do anything to L, and I meant it. And I wonder..." He said idly, in a tone like he was discussing the weather, "... what the clock above my head is saying right now?"
L was not about to open that door unprepared, so he went through the kitchen cupboards quickly. He was a resourceful individual, but he knew that if he appeared armed similarly with a knife or more dangerous weapon, Kenta would be equally disturbed and far from sympathetic to his plight. He chose a can of cleaning fluid, aware that Beyond had always relied a great deal on his eyes, and headed toward the door.
From the positions of the voices outside, it sounded like the door was blocked. Someone was standing in front of it.
Beyond had tried not to do it, but now he was staring at the countdown. He grinned. "Yano Kenta is your full name? Nice to meet you. I'm definitly NOT telling you about your lifespan. If I listen to your words it was the wrong thing to tell you about it anyway. Damn weakness." Then he sighed a bit. "Of course you want to hurt me", he said as if he was talking to a child, "You already hate me, I feel it." He raised the hand with the knife and took another step forward. "Move. It's your last chance. Run away. I do not know anything like 'friends' if it comes to that bastard!"
L opened the door, which swung inward, interested and somewhat touched to see Kenta standing in his way. He held the spray can behind his back, chewing his fingertip, staring hard at B and glaring. Perhaps it was because L wasn't often clearly aware of his expressions, but his lip curled, baring his teeth in what could only be described as animal aggression.
"Kenta might not hate you, B... but you need to leave. Now."
L! Beyond stared at him. His face had an expression not a million words would describe. His hand were shaking. He was finally standing in front of him. He felt like his heart was beating a thousend times in a second. "Oooh... See who arrived...Nice to meet you finally, L"
X3 who's up for Kenta getting stabbed?papipupeponAugust 16 2009, 17:40:19 UTC
Kenta started when the door opened suddenly behind him, could feel L breathing against the back of his neck. "L..." He said warily, and then trailed off, unsure as to what exactly he wanted to say.
Is Kenta going to save L now?jam_lover_13August 16 2009, 17:48:26 UTC
Somehow everything seemed to become red in front of Beyond's eyes. "Everything you've done... YOU HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE A DID! LIKE I DID!" There was a lonely tear running down Beyond's cheek as he moved. He did not want Kenta to get hurt he tried to push him away as he used the knife...
((ooc: Sooo free for you two... Kenta can get pushed away... But he also can be hit x3))
Completly your descission. I did not write how much power is in B's arm. I did not write in which height the knife is.. Kenta can be hurt just at his arm a bit, it could go deep in his flesh... everyting you want XD

I'm sort of wondering, before I commit to anything in the log, how injured to leave Kenta here...
