Family Reunion

Summary: Fletcher arrives in Adstring and Russell runs as fast as he can to fetch him.

Russell sometimes wished that he knew enough about alchemy to enhance the workings of the human body. If he did, he would have liked to have transmuted larger lungs and stronger legs at least. His chest ached and his legs burned as he ran from his greenhouse on the hill down towards the group of parks nearby. He had seen a glimpse of the scenery behind Fletcher in his video and vaguely recognized it. It was a good thing that he was not too far away or had not appeared in the actual city by the broken buildings.
Was this another event? A dream? He hoped it was one of the two. A gentle boy like Fletcher did not deserve to be stuck in a place like this where there was danger in such strange forms and where reality itself bent according to the wills of spirits. But a selfish part of him still hoped that it was truly Fletcher. Russell cursed himself for being human and having that desire to be reunited with his brother here. But he had little time to dwell on it. He had to look for Fletcher.
"Fletcher!" he called out as he ventured into the park, looking for the distinct tree and rocks that were in the video feed. He had to be here... he had to be safe...
"Fletcher!" he called again, looking this way and that for the little blond boy. His heart and mind were racing from more than just the run. He had not seen Fletcher for months and the time that he had appeared in this god-forsaken place had only left a deeper scar when he disappeared once more. He had another chance once more.
