Rinali's head was tilt down and black hair curtained her face. She was in a bit of shock. Everyone had been disappearing, her entire world here was crumbling to ruins just like the city. Death one right after another with the weight weighing on her heart. A disappearance. Then two of her closest friends met hurt almost beyond repair.

She gulped down her urge to scream at God and curse this world when she felt the hand on her head. But in that instant, her tears slowly formed and trickled down the curves of her face.

Rinali tilt her head back, pushing her hair behind her ear to look up at the haunting familiar face. Her eyes went wide only to settle in a squint as more tears fell.

On wobbly legs, she rose up and rubbed her eyes. It was him. The one who at once made her heart tight and warm, but the feeling was replaced by a sinking feeling of reality stabbing her heart. He forgotten her. Just like she knew he would....but in her mind, maybe it was for the best. "I'm Rinali...it's nice to meet you." She said though her words sounded false as she lept out from the edge of the crater and slid down inside it, coming to a minor crash on the ground near the sword and headband.

Daxter arrived moments later on the still-growing Flut-flut bird. He leapt off before it'd even stopped, landing next to the other two. Spotting Zelos' headband, he trotted forward to pick it up. "Stupid ass..." he mumbled, slumping to sit on the ground. He said nothing else though he was mentally cursing the redhead as many ways as he knew how. He knew he'd be back, but what would it cost him?

She peeked at Daxter when he joined, frowning because she at least knew the two lived together. "Would you...please hold onto that and take care of it?" She quietly asked Daxter while a hand gently moved to offer some sort of comfort.

It was the least she could do to the phantom behind her. She shook her head to Kevin's hand and muttered a quiet thank you to him, but dared to not look up at him. Not at all...it was too heart breaking and in the moment, she couldn't handle it.

Her eyes remained focus on the sword, and she leaned out to grip it and pulled it to her. "He seemed...angry that he wasn't able to do magic...I think he wanted to prove he could." She said with her voice low and teetering on the brink of tears.

"I can do that..." Daxter moved closer to Rinali, but was uncharacteristically quiet. "Least he'll be back in a bit," he said softly. "Then we can tell him he was bein' an idiot an' things'll get back ta normal." He knew that wasn't completely true, but the thought made him feel better at least. Carefully, he tied the headband around his neck so he wouldn't lose it.

The smallest of smiles hit her lip at the notion of him possibly returning and she gave a nod. Nimble fingers moved to help him tie the headband securely around his neck, but not too tight. More of a bandana than anything. "That sounds like a good plan." She said softly to the critter and gently gave a comforting rub to the back of his head.

She sniffed and sighed, trying to summon any strength at all from the situation at hand. Her head turned and caught site of the tissues being offered. She took them, and gave the smallest of peeks up to Kevin with tearing amethyst eyes before she quickly looked away and lowered her head to avoid looking at what was there. Another quiet thank you and she rubbed her eyes dry.

"We'll yell at him good. Right?" She said in good heart nature to Daxter with that small smile returning.

Another gentle pat to Daxter's head and Rinali rose up, brushing the dust off of the fabric from her boots. Sounded the same...and it sounded like he hadn't even left at all. A small sigh escaped her lips and she kept her head lowered and clutched onto Zelos' sword.

"You two, should go ahead and do that...I think I'm going to wander back to my camp." She said quietly, looking for any kind of escape she could take right now away from here. Every movement she made she felt her heart shattering. "It was....nice meeting you." She said, though the thought behind it was more for lament of the past.

She turned and headed to the edge of the crater and glanced up at the edge.

Daxter nodded. "Don't worry about it," he said, watching Rinali move off. He'd never admit it to others, but he was sensative to the pain of others and Rinali's mood affected his negatively.

"Ya know, it'd be better if ya came with us at least for a bit," Daxter spoke up finally. "Imma blow off some steam then camp out here awhile. This is where he's bound ta come back, and I got first dibs ta jump him when he pops up." The Ottsel did have a brain after all.

She turned and looked back over to Daxter, offering a soft smile even if it was laced with sadness. "I'll take you up on that perhaps a little later." She said. "I think...I need to recollect my thoughts." She frowned, her eyes glancing to Kevin before she straightens and shakes her head.

"I'll come by tonight if you're camping out here for his return. I'll bring something warm to drink then for you and myself." She offered as the fabric from her boots formed around her legs, revealing bare skin but guards around her knees like shields and wheels near her ankles. "I won't be gone long. I promise." She bowed her head and knelt only to quickly push up off of the ground and sail up towards the sky.

Daxter motioned Kevin to follow him over to the flut-flut, which was easily eye-level with Kevin himself. "I dunno. She wasn't, and there's a good reason for that." He didn't offer any info as to what that reason was though because it was between Kevin and Rinali. "C'mon, I'll give ya a ride back."
