Summary: Maes takes a step forward toward community in his own way.
Maes had set up a rackety folding table with the needed refreshments, cookies and punch. He'd have to keep an eye on things to make sure the punch didn't get spiked, but he had a little faith. There would be kids here! Surely no one would... Yeah, he'd keep an eye on things.
After laying out tools, Maes began work himself. There was no point in just sitting and waiting.
