Maes had raided his closet and found nothing that would likely suit the boy he'd met briefly months ago. The fact was, Maes was stocky. So he went through some of Roy's older things and come up with some pants that would probably need a belt. Grabbing one of his own belts and a top that was unfortuntely bount to look like a tent on the boy, Maes was ready.

"Elysia, baby, Daddy will be right back, okay?" She had company and crayons, she would be happy. But he still needed to tell her.

Then he was off, ready to save the day. Once Negi was clothed they could see about finding something that would fit him well. He was there soon enough, but he didn't turn around the corner just yet. If the boy was ashamed, he didn't want to fluster him further. "Negi? It's Maes!" He held out the clothing around the corner. "In case you didn't want anyone to see you like that just yet..."

At the call, Negi stood up, pulling the shower curtain around him like a cloak. "Oh! Hu--err, Maes...!" He had never had so many people ask for him to spare the honorifics before, so it was going to take some getting used to. He hurried to the corner, taking care as to not stub his bare feet on anything, and took the clothing from Maes' outstretched hand. "T-thank you so much!"

Looking around, he quickly dropped the curtain and set to the task of dressing himself. As he did so, he couldn't help but notice that even in his 15-year-old form, these clothes were still fairly baggy. But, they would do the trick for now, much better than a vinyl shower curtain ever would.

Smoothing out the shirt, Negi came around the corner, smiling appreciatively. "Thank you very much for the clothes. Um, I'll try not to get them too dirty..."

He smiled back at the boy, blinking back his surprise. Negi had grown. But of he could have, people came from different times.

"Don't worry about it. The pants my housemate might want back, but I'm not concerned about the shirt or belt. You can keep them if you'd like. Sometimes it gets hard to find things in your size, and I've built up my own stock."

Maes patted Negi on the back. "Welcome to the city. Have people given you the rundown yet? And shall we go clothes hunting for you?"

Negi nodded. "A-ah, alright, I'll make sure to take care of the pants, then...?" But I won't be needing this size of clothes for very long, he wanted to add, but he wasn't quite sure how Maes would take it.

The pat on his back brought him from his thoughts, and he smiled at Maes. "All I really know is that this is an experiment gone bad. I don't know much about this place, other than that. Oh, and something about Animus?" Maes' second question immediately brought to mind his earlier thoughts, and his eyes widened just a bit. "U-um, actually, ah..." Oh boy. The candy was going to wear off eventually, anyway, so he might as well break the news. "W-well, this is just a disguise, you see...so I'm going to need some smaller clothes eventually..."
