Jak had gotten by much luckier, because any that had noticed him were stragglers of a group, and one well placed blaster shot ended their hopes of a quick meal that wasn't shared.

Glancing at hearing his name called, he finally turned. "Zelos, you've looked better." He meant it in jest, of course. It was hard to look one's best in the middle of a fight. "You need to rest for a bit?"

Zelos snorted. "I bet i have." What with monster blood and oil in his hair and on his clothes he was sure he looked like hell.

"No not really" And He didn't. Unbeknown to him his magic was keeping him going.

Jak nodded, clutching the blaster tightly.

"Let's find Dax then." He sounded even more urgent than before. No telling what had happened to the ottsel in his absence. "He tends to pop up at the most trouble, so the center is the best place I think." Snapping up, he sprung into a jog, the worry only too obvious.

Zelos jogged and caught up with Jak. Obviously the man was very worried for their mutual friend. Then again, he WAS from the same world as Daxter, and they had been friend then. Explains the concern.

"Right-o." Zelos scanned their surrounds while keeping up with Jak. The last thing they needed was a surprise ambush.

He felt his battle madness flicker in the back of his mind. A small grimace was made but he continued on.

Sadly, avoiding trouble didn't seem likely all the sounds and chaos streaming from the center was getting worse as they neared, predictably.

"...What happened? You hear anything?" Jak glanced over his shoulder at the red-head for answers as the poor man found himself often out of the loop.

Stopping suddenly as he thought he heard something, he held up a hand, and whispered, "Did ya hear anything?"

Zelos was about to say no he hadn't heard anything when Jak motioned for silence. At his whispered question Zelos closed his eyes and focused on his hearing, his angelic power enhancing it.

"Yes...." Zelos said back. "To our left. Something's moving." Zelos Opened his eyes, dropping his angelic enhanced hearing.

Jak shifted the gun into the vulcan fury, it was excessive, and with no bullets lying around very stupid.

He felt he'd rather live to bitch about the lack of bullets later though. Crouching down he crawled over through some of the rubble to his left. He heard a loud sniff and froze dead momentarily.

The moment passed and he crawled to where the rubble gave way to a street again, looking on he saw a T-Rex gnawing on...Well, Jak didn't want to guess what it had been. He waited for Zelos, because taking this head-on was foolish, and right up Jak's alley. Of course, he'd leave it up to Zelos on the next move.
