Summary: Antryg goes to meet the first sentient he'll encounter face-to-face in this place.
It took a while to figure out the map that Miss Retsu had sent him over the strange little communication device. He wandered through the streets, checking the landmarks he saw -- broken, deserted buildings, half of a skyscraper welded to a three-story wattle-and-daub inn. All the worlds crushed together, and crushing each other.
It was like finding his way through a nightmare.
He whispered a prayer under his breath, to any god who might deign to listen, that Joanna had found her way to a safe place in this. He had to find her. He had to reverse this somehow, but first he had to find her...
At last, he saw the broader square spread out ahead of him and hurried towards it.
"Terribly sorry that I'm late!" he called. "This isn't the most sensible place, now is it?"
