It was a nice sense of tranquility and peace and instead of hopping to her feet, Ginia remained on the floor of the temple, calmly observing the surrounding area. The place felt a little safe, a little comforting, and even a little familiar though she knew she had never been here or anywhere like it before.

After a few minutes, Ginia got up and began to wander around, making her way down the hallway and following the cheerful sounds to the room.

Across the hallway from the cheerful room, another door opened, and a small, round face peeked out. Almost instantly a grin broke out, and the door opened wider, revealing hardly anything inside. "Ginia lady! I didn't know you were gonna show up, too!"

"Goku?"

She paused in surprise, her hand flying up to cover her mouth. She could speak. This was definitely a dream or something was going on. But her hand came down and she took a step toward Goku, a smile crossing her face. He looked younger and she remembered another event when he had been a child, but the circumstances were different.

"Is this your place, Goku?"

"It's nice to finally hear your voice!" He smiled brightly, his hands perching themselves on the back of his head. "I guess you can talk in here 'cuz he wanted to hear your voice. But it'll be better than usin' sign language, huh?"

Goku looked over his shoulder into the room he had just exited. He stared for a few seconds, as if he were making sure everything had been left in place, and then turned fully and closed the door. "Yeah, kinda! I mean, it's his place, yeah, so I guess it's mine too!"

"I... suppose it is nice." She spoke carefully, listening to the sound of her own voice. Of course it wasn't anything permanent, but it was nice. Convenient as well.

"Do you mind me asking where we are? I don't think I've ever been here before and it doesn't look like anywhere in the Safezone. Though it's very nice."

"Yeah, it's not in the Safezone. We're in Goku's mind! This part of it looks like the temple back in Chang'an, though!" He rocked on his feet, the chains around his ankles and neck clinking softly over the cheerful sounds from the room behind Ginia. "There's lotsa different parts. Even a city! It's kinda scary, though..."

Goku's mind? She took another look around in light of the new information. It certainly wasn't what she expected it to look like, but she didn't know what she was expecting out of someone's mind, much less Goku's. Maybe a kitchen or walk-in pantry of some sort.

"Do you think it'd be okay if I looked around?" She didn't want to pry on anything he didn't want revealed or dive into any deep secrets, but it seemed like a waste to not walk around at least.

"Sure! I don't think he'd mind if you went lookin' around!" Grinning, he padded to Ginia's side, chains clinking with every step. A small, long-nailed hand was held out, a silent request to be held, and he turned his smiling face upwards. "Where do you wanna go?"

Ginia returned his smile and reached out to hold his hand, gently closing her fingers around his. It was a small gesture, but it was a relief being able to hold someone's hand and still talk at the same time.

"What about the room you came from? It sounded like something fun was going on."

Goku squeezed Ginia's hand tightly. "Oh, the happy room? That place is really fun! We can go there!" He moved ahead, pulling at Ginia's arm and looking back at her. "There's lotsa happy memories in there. He won't care about you goin' in there, I just know it!"

"Lead the way," she replied with a laugh, falling into step behind him. His arm was heavy from the chains and she was surprised he could move so easily with them on, but perhaps there'd be a chance to ask about them later. She didn't want to ruin the happy mood and was curious what lay behind the first door.

Goku reached out with his other hand and grasped the doorknob, which was only about at head height for him. As soon as the door opened and the first few notes of happy music escaped, a memory flashed itself inside of Ginia's mind.

The memory seemed to show what looked like a storeroom. Inside, Gojyo and Goku were sword-fighting with brooms, and seemingly having a fun time of it. Suddenly, a vase was knocked from a shelf and shattered on the floor, a faint light escaping from it and enveloping the two. Frantically, Goku began to gather the pieces of the vase, and the two tried to glue and tape it back together, with only minimal success. The memory cut out from there, then cut back in with the four in a room of a temple. Sanzo didn't seem to be too happy, and Gojyo and Goku began arguing, one trying to force the blame on the other. As they got up to start the more physical part of the arguement, weapons each materialized in their hands, and they stopped fighting, perplexed. Sanzo explained that the weapons were sealed in the now- ( ... )

Ginia found herself laughing at the memory. The situation certainly didn't surprise her and it did explain how they got their weapons. She always figured there was something special about them if they could be summoned out of thin air.

"I'm glad the two of you have your weapons under control. I don't think we could deal with a damaged living room or holes in the ceiling."

"Yeah, Konzen got real mad, so I bet he'd get mad again, probably!" Goku hesitated, looking upwards. "Oh, I think you guys call him Sanzo, though."

Looking around again, his eyes came to focus on a door at the end of the hallway. He shuddered just slightly, and turned his eyes back to the cheerfully bright room. "Didya wanna stay in here some more? Or didya wanna go somewhere else? There's more rooms in here, and outside there's a city! I don't like goin' there, though, 'cuz he's there and I can't be around him."

Konzen... the name of the cat and what Goku had called Sanzo when he was young. She wished her state of mind had been better at the time so she could have asked more questions or at least taken care of him without scaring him, but that was the past.

Ginia glanced over at the door at the end of the hall when Goku looked at it, curiously wondering what was behind there, but putting the thought aside. She wandered away from him to look at the other doors, oddly drawn to one. The door was nondescript, like one that would belong onto one of many apartment complexes. In some way, it looked like the door on their own apartment.

"How about this one? Is this one okay?"

"That one's fine! That's Ken-chan and Ten-nii-chan's place!" Forgetting to correct himself again, he ran ahead of her, grasping the handle and opening it happily.

Inside, it appeared as any small apartment would. A familiar brown leather jacket hung on the back of a kitchen chair, and though the apartment was fairly tidy, a full ashtray sat on the kitchen table. There was also a pot of something simmering on the stovetop, filling the small room with the smell of some sort of stew.
