Characters: Vincent Valentine (ff_red_turk), OPEN. When: Dreamscape event. Where: Vincent's mind Rating:PG to R for gore and violence. Summary: Inside the head of a modified ex-Turk.
Itachi walks the barren hills, avoiding the hell-hounds just as they avoid him. He makes for the cave, the only visible location to head for. Entering, he wanders down into the depths, stopping at the pool, standing next to Vincent, silently.
Itachi looks at the woman in the crystal for a while, she's beautiful, sad.
"Did you love her?" He asks, looking down at Vincent. But he receives no answer. He wants to touch the woman's icy prison, glowing... But he turns away. Walks further into the cave.
A door. He opens it, closes it promptly and walks on. He passes a coffin, wonders who it's for but does not look inside, continuing to walk. A younger Vincent makes him pause, watch for a moment, but the man seems busy, and Itachi continues to a house.
He enters it, to find a younger Vincent still, and here he pauses, stopping in the doorway to regard his friend.
"Is this your house, Vincent-san? In Wutai?" It's a guess. But the architecture is vaguely similar to his own world, Wutai seems to share something in common with it, beyond dark-haired people.

The young Vincent is busy preparing a simple meal, lunch, it seems. He blinks at the stranger, but does not seem to perturbed, as if he is used to seeing strangers come and go in his house. The place is made of wood, simply furnished, but with everythin that is necessary, and he himself is wearing nice clothes, in a dark color. He is already tall for his age, maybe fifteen at most.
"If you're looking for my father, he was called back to Midgar two days ago. I don't know when he'll be back. He said he'd call."
His voice is still high, like that of a child, but breaking, figring the young man he is about to become. His red eyes meet those of the stranger with no fear, and only a bit of defiance, waiting for him to introduce himself.
"I was not looking for your father, Vincent-san." Itachi replies, stepping across the threshold uninvited. Movements quiet, un-hurried, no menace to them... Merely curiousity.
"I suppose one might say I was looking for you. But that is not quite true." He doesn't know why he's here. What he's looking for. But he'll accept whatever he finds.
"Would you tell me about your father?" He asks as he enters, watching the young man--so strange to see Vincent a few years younger than himself. He meets the red eyes with his own--here in the dream his eyes are black. He doesn't need Sharingan to see, here.

Vincent raises an eyebrow.
"Looking for me ? But I don't know you."
It is then that Itachi might notice that while Vincent's language is not exactly the same as his own, they are quite astonishingly similar, and they can understand each other perfectly.
He nods as Itachi introduces himself, then takes a second plate and glass out of the cupboard, as if deciding that the newcomer will stay for lunch.
"There's not much to say about my father. He's a Shinra scientist. I don't see much of him. He's usually in Midgar, or Nibelheim, or Junon, or wherever they want to send him. He just calls me when he comes back and that's it."
The young man's voice is not cold, and he seems to love his father very much, but he is not very concerned at not seeing much of him, it seems. Yet, the house does lack any kind of distinct feminine touch, implying that the boy is alone when his father is away.
"You know me." Itachi replies, sitting down when Vincent takes out the plates. "You just haven't met me yet." He finds the language curious, wonders if some day he should write Vincent calligraphy in his own language. Or maybe it's their minds translating for them.
He looks around, noting the plain, bachelor look of the place.
"Is it just you and your father?" He asks, thinking he already knows the answer.

Vincent blinks at the strange remark, then shrugs it off. He always sees people saying incomprehensible things around him, so that just makes one more. He turns to the pot where some kind of noodle soup has been cooking and starts serving it in two bowls, putting one in front of Itachi without asking. The look on his face does say that he expects the guest to eat it, and he puts down a pair of chopsticks next to the bowl, before sitting down with his own.
"My mother died when I was a baby; I don't even remember her. I have a picture. My father doesn't like to speak about it."
There is a pointed look at the chopsticks since Itachi hasn't movd to grab them as soon as he was given them. The soup both looks and smells good, a simple dish, but the work of someone used to take care of himself.
Itachi bows slightly, politely, accepting the bowl and chopsticks, but watching Vincent for a while before he moves to pick up the utensils.
"My condolences." His voice is not hesitant or awkward, somehow it really is no surprise that Vincent lost his mother early. It somewhat surprises Itachi that the man seems to have something of a calm life, at least to this point.
"Thank you for the meal, Vincent-san." He says when Vincent gives him a pointed look. He takes the chopsticks, looking down at the simple but good-looking food and helps himself.

The eating is done in silence. Vincent is not very curious about who the visitor is exactly. But as soon as the bowls are drained, he stands up and collects them to put them in the sink, then turns around to face Itachi and crosses his arms.
Itachi stands, bowing once again politely. He watches the younger man for a moment, curious. He seems as if he'll refuse, briefly, but than turns to leave in silence, pausing on the doorstep to glance back.
"Thank you for your hospitality." He smiles a little, meaning more than just the meal, not that this young version of the man will understand. He's half tempted to stay...
But he steps away from the house, carries on to the last door, enters a room of doors.
Somehow it seems familiar, he can't place how. He gravitates towards the door sealed with a purple glow, reaches to touch it and finds his hand meets the door without barrier. Pondering, he opens the door, stepping through.

The room is filled with tendrils of light dancing around. their color is the same whitish green that was in the cave, surrounding the woman. Among the glow are dark strands of black-violet light, dancing along and mingling with it.
As soon as Itachi's presence is noticed, though, the dark light seems to concentrate and starts taking a shape. Soon a great humanoid lizard, its scales dark red and black and its eyes golden, appears in front of Itachi. It has gigantic red scaly wings, like those of a bat, and a grin full of fangs.
Itachi watches the lights, noting the colors and the black-violet as it coalesces and forms...
"Chaos-san." Itachi's voice is cool, thoughtful, unflustered. "You recognize me at least." He raises an eyebrow. "I wonder if I should be relieved."
He glances back at the door then against at Chaos, or rather, UP at Chaos. "I take it the seal on the door is to keep you in, instead of others out? Or is it merely to keep out the unwanted?"
Tuesday nightff_red_turkApril 5 2009, 14:45:09 UTC
The lizardy being nods.
"Protomateria. It's supposed to keep me in check, but someone stole it from Vincent. Now the memory of it is all that's left ... and yet at times it's enough to hold me back."
The tendrils of green lights comes closer to Chaos, dancing around him as an animal begging for a pet, and his hand goes up and plays with them distractedly, twining in them.
"How did you get here, I wonder ... Vinny's mind is not the most welcoming place in the world. can think of hundreds of places that would be more fun."
Itachi looks genuinely fascinated by the lights, by Chaos's murmurings.
"Protomateria?" He repeats the foreign word, stepping further into the room and closer to Chaos, either brave or simply without fear. He reaches up a hand to touch one of the lights.
"What is this?" He questions, examining it.
"Really? I've found his mind pleasant enough, Chaos-san. It could be much worse. But perhaps our standards of hospitality differ."

The whitish lights start dancing around Itachi. They are both cool and warm to the tuch, and soothing. One can hear hundreds, thousands of voices when touching them, not all of them human.
"This is the Lifestream. The blood of the Planet. Made of everything that has ever lived."
Chaos flaps his wings and opens his arms, welcoming more of the lights and weawing his fingers through them, like playing an instrument.
"Wrought of Terra Corrupt, Behold Mighty Chaos, Omega's Squire to the Lofty Heavens."
Itachi closes his eyes, briefly, listens to the voices... Strains to here, his hand held open to the lights, the Lifestream dancing around his palm, lighting his face with the soft glow of souls.
"Fascinating..."
He opens his eyes, watching Chaos, listening to the song or chant, entranced.
"Is this what your home is like, Chaos-san? These lights, this life in everything?"
Tuesday nightff_red_turkApril 5 2009, 19:21:57 UTC
"I am a part of the Planet," Chaos says, and the lights start twine around his limbs and wings, almost like tentacles, flowing against the scales and making them shine with a strange glow.
"Whan the time comes, I shall take all souls, and bring them into the Lifestream, and bring the Lifestream to Omega. And the world will end."
Chaos seems more and more distraced by the light, and a low purr escapes his throat as they envelop him more tightly.
