The fact it was already the 23rd didn't make things any easier. Had she really slept the rest of the day way in the middle of the street? That fact made her a little more than uneasy.
The PCD beeped indicating there was a new message and she quickly opened it up.
"Defeat the Pig Noise. You have 100 minutes.
Fail, and face erasure.
--- The Reapers"
Wincing again at the surge of pain snapping through her hand, she glanced down at the timer printed onto her skin. This was beginning to get a little more than irritating.

Oh great. There was that beep again. And sure enough, as soon as he read the message, his hand got the timer burned into it. "Some sick bastard is fucking messed up," Gojyo muttered. "How the hell do you even defeat a pig noise? Wear earplugs? This is fucked up."
Annoyed, he peered over Ginia's shoulder at her hand, forgetting for just a moment that she didn't know him. Just barely in time Gojyo stopped himself from taking her hand to kiss it. Instead, he rested the hand he'd been moving on her arm. "We should get moving. We need to find the noise before we can defeat it."

She hated being in a game for someone else's amusement, moreso when it was against her will and losing something was a part of the rules. Rules there were still unknown.
A hand came up to touch Gojyo's cheek and she studied him more intently, trying to find something about him that seemed even familiar. Even if he hadn't said it, there were blanks she could figure out for herself. He liked her. Still did. She had a feeling it went a little further than simply liking, but she wasn't in the mood to play games. If he had been someone important to her, enough that he could be completely erased from her memory...
She stepped forward and leaned up to kiss him. She doubted anything would happen, but some sort of recognition, a sign, anything, would have been helpful.

That decision flew out the window when she kissed him. Gojyo wrapped his arms around her, kissing her back, wondering if this was going to screw up everything. At least he could hope that something would be reawakened. Beyond the obvious.
After a moment Gojyo pulled away, searching her face for anything.

Ginia quickly pulled away from him and took out her PCD to read over the message and study the map of the location in order to refocus and to distract herself. Northeast quarter... defeat pig noise in 100 minutes... there had to be something to work with. After studying the map for a few minutes, she stuck her PCD back into her pocket to free up her hand for signing, avoiding looking at him just slightly.
/...According to the map, there are six main areas in this quarter. Maybe we should look around those locations for clues before we run randomly through the city?/

"Sure," he said in answer to her question. He didn't give a damn. If he let himself care, then he was going to be feeling way more than he wanted to. He could make it a week like this? Those had been stupid words. Apparently he wasn't nearly as strong as he thought he was. If he could stay impassive, and just let it wash over him... then he could break down when she wasn't paying attention. She'd have to use the bathroom sometime, at the very least.
"Which one first?" He'd leave the choices to her, leave everything to her, and not get attached to anything. Maybe that would work.

Efficient, practical, and maybe a little cold. But the sooner they figured things out, the better. She began walking ahead of him at a brisk pace before slowing down. No, being cold wouldn't do any good. He was... he had been something important to her. Important enough the Animus would choose to take that away from him. Ginia stopped and turned back to look at him, her words somewhat hesistant.
/...Gojyo... do you feel like you're forgetting anything... or anyone... as well?/

"I don't know. I can't figure anything out that I could be missing, but I--" Okay, redirecting that thought. Declaring that it was obvious he still remembered who was important was Monkey-level stupid. "I can't put the pieces together." Maybe if they could ever be separate, and deal with things solo, it would be better. Then he'd have time to think. There were too many people he was concerned about, and he didn't know why the hell he cared about them. Everyone should look out for themselves. That was the way of the world.

/I talked to someone yesterday, I didn't get his name, but he seemed to know a lot about this... event. He said missing something was part of the rules./
She knew what she wanted to say, but saying it seemed far more difficult than it should have been.

"Was it that punk-ass kid who likes to giggle and hint at shit but never give any real answers? One day, I swear... But that makes sense. A lot of people are talking about missing shit. I just don't have a clue what I might be missing." Why couldn't he be missing emotions, or shit like that? Why couldn't this be easier? Stupid city.
"This is a mess. A glorified hell of a mess."

Her signing trailed off. She didn't like the idea of anyone being erased or permanently losing whatever it was they had lost, but she knew she couldn't lose now. They couldn't lose. There was far too much at stake for that.
/...The fact I can't remember you isn't an accident, at least I don't think so. I think... the reason I can't remember you is because of how much you mean to me./

Now he was talking a lot, but because he was pissed off instead of hurting. Why would some stupid brat know more about this than them, and not share?
Her next statement drew him back, though. Gojyo rubbed his eyes. What was he even supposed to say to that? It was comforting but if she never remembered he was screwed anyways, so thanks but too bad? "So they took important stuff? That's what he said?" Questions were safer than statements. Especially in this.

Catching the smile, he watched her explain why she'd cut off in the middle of a sign. "We're hunting... a pig. Not the noise a pig makes. Why the hell didn't they just say that?" He joined her in the dash. Finally, something they could actually accomplish. It sucked having goals that made no sense.
They could win this, and then he'd have her back, from what she said. Fine, he'd make sure they won. He'd give Tieria and Regene a hand if they needed it, he'd promised enough, but otherwise, screw everyone else. He lived for himself, always had.

Ginia slowed down to a halt when they were only a few feet away from the school, eying the chain-link fence surrounding it. Gauging the height of it, she backed up a few feet before getting a running start, leaping up and digging her feet into the holes while she pulled herself up with her hand, straining a little with only one hand. But reaching the top, she hoisted herself over and dropped to the ground, looking around for signs of... well, anything.

"Damn, beautiful Ginia, all you had to do was ask, and I would have given you a boo--" Shit. He hadn't meant to call her that. "Boost," he finished weakly. This is why he needed to keep his mouth shut, or part of it. Sending the Shakujo away for a moment, Gojyo climbed over himself, looking. In theory, there had to be a pig around here somewhere.
