When: Several hours after the 3am earthquake (as in mid-morning Monday), backdated

Summary: A Gundam Wing Rescue Operation... half the pilots/Preventers are down, the other half of them step up. Quatre takes charge.
Note: The Oliver mentioned in the log is Duo's kitten who's been modeled after
my own cat, Oliver... not Oliver Long the felinoid neko-kin with calico ears and tail everyone's searching for. XD
At this moment, Quatre was not one to be argued with. He was in 'commander' mode, which meant he'd shoot the person first person to argue with him. He ran up the stairs of their building.
Noin wasn't a happy Preventer. Her friends were hurt and there wasn't much that she could do. Wufei had told her were Duo was, and she had already started to try pulling debris away.
Wufei could hear someone moving the debris nearby, but didn't move. The last time he'd tried, he'd made his situation worse.
"Fire!" Quatre said sternly. "If you don't do that right, it'll crash down on you."
'They're here,' Duo thought, still trying to hang on. He'd been in and out for the last half hour at least, he wasn't sure anymore since it had been out more than in. He closed his eyes.
Trowa came heading up the stairs with Milo now that he had gotten back to apartment. He hurried up the stairs with the wolf right behind him.
"03! Get back out there and find 01! He's injured!" Quatre ordered before moving to start removing the debris from Wufei's room.
Trowa nodded. "Come on Milo; we need to find Heero." Milo bobbed his head and lead the way out.
Heero had been in and out of conciousness himself for who knew how long. All he knew was that it was cold and dark, though he vaguely noticed he wasn't so cold anymore, and even more vaguely thought that might not be a good sign.
"Quatre?" Wufei called out weakly, hearing the blonde's voice.
Noin continued to carefully move the debris away from Duo, being as careful as she could so that nothing else would collapse on them.
He sighed in relief. "Thank God. Wufei, hold on!"
It wasn't working very well for Duo. He'd been pushing hard for a long time, and he was running out of energy. Between the pain and disorientation, he was losing the battle quickly, fading out again.
"Duo!" Quatre cried as he continued moving the debris.
Milo ran outside and sniffed around to find Heero after a few moments he found here. ~Heero~ the wolf said as Trowa came to join him.
Wufei tried to push some of the debris off of himself with his unbroken arm. "Is Duo..?"
"Stay with me, Duo. Talk to me!" Noin was getting concerned.
The American groaned softly, a weak sound, but that was all he got out.
"Don't die on me, Duo! Don't!" The blonde cried as he moved more debris away, finally getting to Wufei.
Noin muttered a few choice words in Italian as she froze for a moment. She had heard something besides Duo's groan and she didn't like it at all.
Wufei was pale from fear and bloodloss, the arm flung over his face covered in deep scratches. A gash on the side of his neck bled sluggishly while his right arm lay next to him, bent at several wrong angles.
Duo was actually good at telling which debris to move, having prevented a secondary collapse when Trowa had been in a similar situation, but he was no shape to help them now.
With renewed strength, Quatre moved the last bit of debris off of Wufei. He then moved, picking up the Chinese pilot. "Fire! Hurry up! I don't know how stable this building is!"
"I'm going as fast as I can." Noin said as she moved another piece, revealing Duo.
The Chinese man bit his lip to prevent himself from screaming as he was lifted. "Should have-" he coughed harshly. "Should have gotten him first."
Duo was breathing, clearly alive, but he was out cold. The lowered temperature from the outside wall having broken apart combined with bloodloss, pain, and the concussion had finally taken it's toll.
She moved another piece of debris and then carefully lifted the pilot. "He's alive. Unconsious, but alive."
Considering his injuries, he was probably better off.
"We have to get him to the doctor!"
"They both need a doctor. Lead the way," she said. She had no idea where to go.
Quatre whistled for Shin, hoping the cats where okay.
Wufei held his broken arm to his chest, the other hooked over Quatre's neck for stability. His relief at hearing Duo was alive was almost painful.
Shin and Oliver had taken shelter. Being animals, they had those odd premonitions. Hearing Quatre, Shin came out, carrying the tiny tuxedo kitten gently in his mouth.
Aftab padded out after Shin, sticking close to the black dog.
Quatre nodded. "Follow me. Watch the cats." He then headed downstairs, being careful with his load.
She followed, being as careful as she could.
Shin followed, moving so Aftab, the bigger kitten, could stay close.
"I can walk," Wufei said, hissing as the movement shifted him.
At the bottom of the stairs, Quatre set Wufei down. "I'll notify Trowa of where we're going..." He took out his PCD and typed a note to the clown.
Wufei tried to push himself to his feet, legs giving out before he could get very far.
Quatre moved, catching him.
Trowa walked over to Heero and lifted him up. "He's unconscious," he told Milo. Heero need to see a doctor as well.
Shin whimpered around Oliver, the kitten hanging limply in his jaws. The two of them were uninjured, but Shin had the little feline by the scruff, and kittens just went limp when lifted that way.
Aftab mewed at Shin. The poor kitten still looked jittered.
Heero groaned some as he was lifted; it felt really weird in his state.
Cursing softly, Wufei let the blonde support him.
"Idiot."
Trowa headed to find the others. Milo followed after Trowa as he went to find the others.
Shin dipped his head, nudging the little black and gold kitten to keep moving. He followed Noin.
"He'll be all right, Shin," Noin said to the dog as she continued to follow Quatre.
Aftab moved after Shin.
"03! We're going to Doctor Uzuki's!" Quatre called.
Shin gave a small wag of his tail at Noin.
Trowa nodded, hearing Quatre's shout, and headed in that direction.
Duo groaned softly, reacting slightly to the pain, but didn't open his eyes.
Supporting Wufei, he walked quickly. He hated the cold, but it didnt matter
Wufei tried his best to keep up with him, shaking his head periodically to keep his vision clear.
Noin didn't like the cold either, but she would do what she could to help her friends now.
Heero mumbled something unintelligble through frozen lips, never opening his eyes.
Trowa looked down at Heero. "Heero? Are you awake?"
Jin was just returning to his home when he saw a group of people arrive. "Hurry, come inside." He called.
Noin nodded to Jin as she carried Duo along.
Shin's ears perked at Heero and Trowa. He paused at the door of Jin's building.
The voice sounded far away. Heero tried to respond but he couldn't seem to manage it.
Heero was very cold. How long had he been in the cold? If Trowa had been able to figure out how to do that, he would wrap his coat around Heero.
Wufei tried to push Quatre away from him, his attempts feeble at best. "Take care of them first... I can wait."
"Where can I put him?" Noin asked, talking about Duo.
"Put Maxwell in the back room." Jin said, "Chang too."
"And Heero as well," Trowa said, adding onto to Noin's comment.
Jin watched as they went inside. "Get Yuy into some warm water or use body heat. We need to raise his temperature."
Shin wagged his tail weakly at everyone as they passed him through the door, then followed the group in. He put Oliver down once they were inside, then turned to check on Aftab and Milo.
Quatre nodded and headed towards the back. "Come on, Wufei."
Noin nodded and followed Quatre.
Milo wagged his tail and looked over Shin and the cats.
Dusty, but unharmed, the four-legged reunion seemed a lot happier than the pilots'.
Aftab mewed weakly at Milo. The poor kitten was still shaken.
Given no choice, Wufei followed him, still clutching his arm.
Duo flinched slightly at movement, but didn't do anything further than that.
Trowa carried Heero into the bathroom put him in the tub to use water to try and warm him up.
Noin lay Duo down in the back room, concern in her eyes.
Milo nudged Aftab gently. He could tell the kitten was scared.
Duo groaned.
Quatre helped Wufei onto the bed and sighed. He had been running on pure adrenaline.
Wufei looked over at Duo, worry clear in his face.
"Noin, please make sure Winner gets some rest," Jin instructed.
She nodded. "Come on, Quatre."
Quatre looked at Noin. He sighed and then collapsed, obviously exhausted.
Noin quickly caught Quatre. "Got another place I can put him?" she asked Jin.
"Out on the couch."
She nodded and then carried the other pilot to the couch, laying him down. She then leaned against a wall...and then slid down to the floor. "What a time to be brought here...."
Oliver wandered away from the other pets, nudging his way into the bathroom where Trowa and Heero were.
Bloodloss getting to him, Wufei let his eyes slide shut.
Heero groaned again, trying to force himself to conciousness. Something was going on, but everything was so fuzzy...
Aftab wandered over to Noin and nudged her hand, mewing.
Jin rolled up his sleeves and went about healing his two patients.
Shin curled up on the floor by Milo.
She petted the kitten, looking half out if it.
Aftab purred.
Trowa had put Heero in the tub by now and turned on the water to a warm temperature, but not too hot to try and slowly raise Heero's temperature. Trowa looked over at the cat as it came in.
In addition to the painfully obvious concussion, judging by the dried blood that was down the side of his face, Duo had a few broken ribs and his left leg was fractured and swollen, though not bent out of shape. That was not counting the other numerous scrapes, contusions, and bruises he had.
Oliver mewed at Trowa, blinking up at him with his kitten-grey eyes.
Wufei flinched away from Jin.
Jin looked at Wufei, glaring before healing Duo. He healed all the injuries, not wanting anything lingering.
Trowa reached over and pet Oliver.
Oliver rubbed against Trowa's leg, purring.
Trowa smiled. He looked over to check on Heero.
Noin continued to absently pet Aftab, looking at the far wall and not really seeing anything
Jin walked over to Wufei and began to examine his injuries.
He watched him warily.
"What needs healing?"
"Just treat and bandage," Wufei said, head a little foggy.
"What are your injuries?"
"Several breaks on my right arm, lacerations on my left," he listed off automatically. "Wound on the side of my neck, some damage to my ribs. Other minor scrapes and bruising."
Nodding, Jin healed Wufei's ribs and the cuts. "I'll bandage your arm."
Wufei nodded, forcing down a second flinch.
Like an experienced doctor, which he was, Jin set Wufei's broken arm.
Duo groaned, squeezing his eyes for a moment before opening them slightly.
He kept his eyes trained on the wall, biting his lip as the multiple breaks were set.
Oliver stood up, putting his front paws on the side of the tub to peer at Heero.
Jin finished up, he looked at Duo. "Maxwell, how are you?"
"What...?" was the weak reply.
"Duo?" Wufei tried to get off of the bed.
Jin sighed and pushed Wufei down. "You're weak from blood loss. Now stay."
Duo moaned.
"How are you feeling, Maxwell?"
"Like I got crushed by a wall..." he muttered, still woozy. At least his humor was still intact, if a bit dry.
"You did."
He moaned again, closing his eyes again.
"Go to sleep."
Heero shifted some. Was he...wet? "Melting," he mumbled.
Oliver mewed.
Duo didn't need to be told. The exhaustion kicked in, knocking him senseless once again whether he wanted to sleep or not.
"You're not melting," Trowa remarked. "You are freezing and we're trying to warm you up."
Jin covered both of them with blankets. "Go to sleep, both of you."
Wufei wrapped the blanket around himself without taking his eyes off of the other pilot. "I'll sleep later."
"No, you'll sleep now. Do not argue with me, Chang," Jin said.
He did his best to glare at him.
Jin was not afraid. "Sleep."
Duo muttered something in his sleep, coughing slightly without waking.
"Later," he mouthed, not wanting to wake Duo.
"You have two choices. Sleep by your choice or I will put you to sleep."
"I'll rest," Wufei allowed, narrowing his eyes. Likely, the man wouldn't need to bother putting him to sleep. He was about to collapse on his own.
"Good." Jin nodded.
