Viral is rescued from certain death!

Jin: Leaving his house, Jin headed towards Unohana's clinic. His sword hung at his hip, the trench coat covering most of it, but sometimes as he walked, the hilt and part of the sword where seen. He stopped and arched an eyebrow. A bloody young man was the last thing he expected to find. the dark haired man moved over and knelt down in front of him. He pressed two fingers to his neck, and was oddly surprised to find a pulse.

Viral: That fight with the idiot Katou had done more damage than Viral had been prepared for… Days had passed and when he found himself in some foreign clinic he made a run for it the first chance he could, before being examined or properly treated. He was covered in deep and life-threatening cuts, he’d lost an awful lot of blood and his escape had not taken him far. He had passed out mere meters from the front door!

Viral was quite a little guy, curled up on the floor he probably looked more harmless than he actually was. As he felt someone touching him his lips parted, revealing sharp, shark-like, teeth and he groaned weakly.

Jin: "Don't talk, you're baddly injured." Jin said softly. He removed his trench coat and rolled the sleeves of his shirt up. Two healings so close to each other... He had just recovered his ether back from the last one. "You'll feel a bit odd."

Jin pressed his hands to Viral's chest. "Ha, ki..." he whispered. A soft white glow surrounded his hands and began to extend to the young man's injuries.

Viral: He breathed in deeply and shut his eyes, brows furrowing for a moment. It was an odd sensation, almost like someone was lowering him into a bath. He didn’t dislike it, as such, but it wasn’t terribly pleasant either! As the moments passed, he gradually began to feel better, one eyes opened, followed by the other. “Uhn… Wha’?” his cat-like eyes focused on the dark-haired stranger in front of him and waited for some sort of explanation.

Jin: Jin sat back against his heels. "I healed your injuries. You should be stiff for a couple of days." he replied. His dark eyes looked over the young man. He was quite an interesting person.

Viral: Although most people would be grateful for such an act of kindness, Viral was not most people. He wasn’t a person at all, and he was suspicious of all humans, convinced that they had some hidden motive to kindness, why would this dark-haired stranger be any different?! He moved to jump to his feet and bounce backwards, but when he tried to stand up, he had trouble and stumbled back.

Viral looked odd to say the least, his over-sized forearms and hands (with exceptionally pointed nails -almost like claws), those eyes and most noticeable of all… those teeth. “Who are you?” he sneered with a much deeper voice than that that his looks might have betrayed. “Why did you heal me?” he sounded out of breath and weak, right now, despite his aggression… Viral was pretty harmless.

Jin: "My name is Uzuki Jin, I'm a doctor." He replied rising, his trench coat slung over one arm. His sword was plainly visible, but he was making no move to even go near it or draw it. "And as a doctor, I cannot discriminate against who I take care of." he said calmly.

Viral: Head slightly woozy, he shark-boy wasn’t really thinking that straight as he blurted out “Wh.. that bastard! Where is he?!” looking around frantically as if Katou would still be here, obviously, he wasn’t… and at that moment Viral realised that he had taken his knife as well. “Ugh… damnit!” he held his head in his hand for a moment, the blood-loss was getting to him. “Uh… I have to regain my honour, where is he?!”

Jin: Pulling his trench coat on, Jin walked over to Viral. "You're in no condition to be doing any fighting." He slung one of the young man's over his shoulders. "You need time to heal."

Viral: “Ack! Don’t touch me! You… you filthy ape.” The venom in his words died down as he gradually leaned into Jin, perhaps he was weaker than he realised. “I.. have to regain my honour…! You don’t… understand!”

Jin: He ignored the barbs and took more of Viral's weight onto him. "I do understand young man. I am a man of honor myself." Jin was half tempted to pick the young man up and carry him.

Viral: He felt stiff and awkward, Viral didn’t like relying on anyone else… and leaning on Jin was -somehow- embarrassing. “Then… you should know that I have to challenge him…!” he shut his eyes for a long moment, as if trying to gather enough energy to talk and walk again for a short period of time “He… stole my weapon and insulted… me!”

Jin: "I do understand." Jin replied as he turned to head back to his house. "I'm taking you to where I live so you can recuperate."

Viral: “N..no! I don’t need it! I’m fine, you stupid monkey!” he insisted, even as his voice was breaking and his feet were tripping up over themselves. Why couldn’t this human understand, Viral thought to himself, he didn’t want to rely on anyone! He didn’t need anybody’s help!

Jin: Jin snorted. "Right. You can barely stand young man. I am not letting you go to find this young man just to reinjure yourself."

Viral: Just like a scolded child, Viral sulked at that comment and looked down at the ground as he clumsily shuffled along. He kept telling himself that as soon as he could walk straight, he was going to ditch this stupid monkey and go and find Katou to get his knife back and exact some revenge!... But maybe, just for now… he’d take things a little easier. “… Fine, whatever.” He snorted.

Jin: "And until I say you're healed, you are not to leave." Jin said sternly.

Viral: “I’m not your property!” he hissed, Viral didn’t like rules, especially ones that were enforced by humans! What did they know about fairness anyway!

Jin: Jin stopped walking and looked at Viral. "Your wounds nearly cost you your life young man. I merely look after my patients."

Viral: Again, he wore that scolded sulk. Humans were so troublesome, he told himself, all they were good for was telling off beastmen or fighting them! “Fine!” he snapped, giving in -which was very rare of Viral- “I’ll stay! There, stop fussing over me!”

Jin: He snorted. "I do not fuss, I just make sure you eat and rest."

Viral: This was… rare, Viral had never come across a human who was so determined to safeguard him. This world really was a strange one, perhaps this Jin came from a place where… beastmen and humans were good friends? He didn’t dwell on the matter, he just murmured out a sheepish “Fine.”

Jin: "Good. Now, there are others at the house, but they're relatively private people and keep to themselves. There are some rooms downstairs if you are in need of a place to stay." Jin explained. It was a good mile to two miles between his house and Unohana's clinic, he'd never bothered to check the distance.

Viral: “I’m fine in the wilderness! I’m only staying here until you let me go!” Viral was almost the dictionary definition of a wild animal, when Jin suggested something sensible he replied with the most outlandish and unreasonable thing he could.

Jin: He arched an eyebrow as he continued walking. "What's your name?"

Viral: He expected Jin to snap back at him, but when he didn’t… his sharp tongue softened ever-so-slightly “Viral.”

Jin: "It's a pleasure Viral, as you know, my name is Jin." he replied.

Viral: “Heh…” a pleasure? He doubted it “Yeah, you said earlier… You know I can’t pay you for helping me. I hope you’re not expecting something or I’ll have to disappoint you.”

Jin: "I don't do this for money Viral. I do this because people need my help."

Viral: “Hm, is that so?” he hissed trying to keep up with the pace, Viral still felt a little achy and sore, but much better than he had about an hour ago when he broke out of that clinic. “Well, aren’t you just a saint.” He sneered with a wry grin on his face.

Jin: Jin let out a bark of laughter. "Right, me a saint. That would be my friend chaos."

Viral: “… Chaos?” he echoed with a blank look on his face.

Jin: "It's a long story." Jin replied flatly.

Viral: “Hm, I’m sure… human fairy tales and legends don’t interest me anyway.” He replied nonchalantly.

Jin: Jin shrugged a bit. "To each their own."

Viral: “Hm, I’m sure… How far away is this place anyway?” Viral complained, feeling somewhat exhausted “If this is a trick, you mays well reveal it now, human!”

Jin: "It's between a mile and two miles away from where I found you." Jin replied, "We're just about there."

Viral: “Good…” poor Viral, he was feeling the strain and looked quite tired by this point.

Jin: "I can carry you." He suggested as a large tudor style house came into view.

Viral: “W..what?! Carry!? No! I’m fine!” he insisted, even though he was leaning on Jin quite heavily and shuffling his feet.

Jin: Jin snorted and knelt down, scooping Viral into his arms. "Please, lying is not necessary."

Viral: “Ah! W-wait!!” he exclaimed, but it was too late, he was already in Jin’s arms and quite obviously embarrassed! A dark shade of pink was dotted across his cheeks. “S-stop it!” he wriggled madly until his energy reserves gave out.

Jin: "If you don't stop wiggling right now, then I'm going to drop you and that won't be pleasent at all."

Viral: With that said… Viral did eventually stop flailing about. This felt…. Very strange though, nobody had ever… carried him before.

Jin: With much ease, Jin carried Viral back to the house. Somehow he managed to get the door open and inside.

Viral: By this point Viral was much more docile than he had been earlier, the rest of the walk had almost been… relaxing, although he would never admit to it. He felt a little tired, leaning into Jin with his eyes shut he almost looked… peaceful!

Jin: He smiled faintly, but it was gone as soon as it passed over his lips. Shutting the door, he walked over to the couch and laid Viral down. "Do you need anything?" he asked.

Viral: “N..no.” he grumbled laying on the couch exactly as Jin placed him, he was too tired to even roll into a more comfortable position, on hand on his belly as the other flopped onto the floor. “Don’t need any stupid… human things” he talked with his eyes shut, he must have been more tired than he thought.

Jin: He shook his head and carefully put a blanket over him. "My room is the first door on the right if you need anything."

Viral: “Mhmm.. yeah.” With that said he began to drop off to sleep, his breathing slowed and the constant frown that he had when he was awake disappeared.
