Fishing for Kisame

Summary: Kisame and Itachi have been partners for five years. But they haven't had much time to catch up since Kisame arrived. It's about time they actually sat down and talked.
Itachi was waiting in the kitchen, a cooling cup of tea at his elbow, his PCD in front of him as he fiddled with code. He was waiting for a specific blue-skinned Mist-nin. He and Kisame just seemed to keep... Missing each other. Kisame would go into the wastes, Itachi would be busy with... Everything. It was okay for the short term, they were both perfectly capable of looking after themselves, but for the long term?
Kisame was here. Kisame had been watching Itachi's back for five years and whatever else was going on in this place, whoever else Itachi met or even became close to, that was a partnership that he valued. He wasn't really big on saying that sort of thing though, especially not to Kisame. No, he wasn't going to say it, but he was going to wait, all day if necessary, stubborn and unmovable, until he managed to catch his long-time partner and actually talk to him.
They had a lot to catch up on.
