Re: Inoue Orihime || Bleach (4/?)nendo_chanSeptember 13 2009, 12:25:31 UTC
Abilities/Additional Notes: Orihime's hairpins are the main source of her powers, and can be used for offense, defense, and healing. "Santen Kesshun", or "Three Links Sacred Shield" forms a triangular shield around the target, and is shown to be very difficult to break. "Souten Kisshun", or "Twin Sacred Return Shield" forms a half-ellipse that can literally reject damage done to the target, thus making her capable of healing almost any injury. It, too, has a shielding capacity, thugh not nearly as strong as Santen Kesshun. Lastly, there is "Koten Zanshun", or "Solitary Sacred Cutting Shield", which takes the form of a single, bladelike blast of energy. Theoretically, this attack is unstoppable, but due to Orihime's pacifistic nature, it is much weaker than it should be. All three are a unique golden-yellow, and are shown to glow in the dark. For each one, Orihime shouts the command "I reject!" ("Watashi wa kyouzetsusuru!"), though she can use them without it.
Sample Journal Post: [Video; accidental. There is silence for a long time before the girl speaks, and her hand remains outstretched, as if reaching for someone. She sounds close to tears.]
...Ulquiorra?
[At last the hand drops, and she looks about, hugging herself tightly.]
Kurosaki-kun? Ishida-kun? W-where is everyone? Where's Hueco Mundo?
[She could be crying now, but her face is hidden behind her hair.]
Anyone?
Sample RP:
He had asked her if she was afraid, and by all rights, she should have been. He had tried to kill Kurosaki-kun, and he had succeeded. She had braced herself for what might be waiting when she asked Ishida-kun to take her up, but the sight had completely disarmed her. The whole reason she had come to Hueco Mundo was to save her friends, to be strong for them... but all she could do was clutch her head and cry, even as Ishida-kun flew past her, missing his hand. She had screamed for him again, just like always.
"HELP ME, KUROSAKI-KUN!"
She had called for him, but what she got instead was a monster. A monster so twisted and inhuman, that she had worried for Ulquiorra instead. A monster that had hurt Ishida-kun. A monster that Ulquiorra saved her from. Ulquiorra, the one that had threatened the lives of all those she held dear, the one who had brought her to this dank monochrome world. At this point, Orihime didn't know what to believe, who to trust, or who she even meant to cry for.
And the look in his eyes when he extended both his hand and his question nearly broke her heart. No, she was not afraid of him, and she would show him, if their hands could just meet in time...
When her fingers closed around nothing but ash, Orihime felt the fragile pieces of her heart collapse.

Original plus add-ons.
Personality : Orihime is generally a very bubbly and cheerful girl, prone to letting her mind take her off on wild daydreams. Known for her sunny smile and large chest, she is very open towards others and quick to make friends, hence making her very popular at school. She is actually quite smart in spite of this, with the skills of a black belt in karate, though hopeless with technology. Also notable is her odd taste in food, such as combining Tabasco sauce with ice cream. Exceedingly kind, Orihime is very adverse to violence of any nature, so although this limits her attacking strength, it fosters her already miraculous healing powers, which have been said to "defy even god". This does not mean that she will refuse to protect her friends; Orihime will, and has, put her life on the line for those she cares about. She has a rather carpe diem outlook on life, after never getting to say goodbye to her brother after a fight they had.
However, since her abduction, she has become much more depressed, and is not seen smiling as frequently. One might also say that she has matured under the stress, and has lost some of the ditziness that once defined her. Several of her captors have remarked as to this change in nature, one even going so far as to ask would-be rescuer Ichigo if he even knew what was going on inside of her. While Orihime normally jumps at the chance to heal or aid Ichigo, she hesitates to defend him against Ulquorra, her primary captor. Despite her feelings for Ichigo, he seems to awaken a more helpless side of her personality. While Orihime decimated a Hollow in order to rescue Tatsuki, the one who gave her self-confidence, she has yet to actually fight for Ichigo. However, it must be taken into consideration that her imprisonment has left her feeling incredibly inadequate and hopeless. In spite of this, Orihime has been influenced by others in a decidedly possible manner. Though some around them might see them as rivals for Ichigo’s affections, Orihime is very close to Kuchiki Rukia. Having shared similar experiences, both girls try their hardest to be strong for one another, and to help the other overcome her feelings of inadequacy. Another who appears to have shaped her personality is Ishida Uryuu, fellow classmate, empowered human, and, oddly enough, another member of the handicrafts club. Orihime’s open attitude draws him in, and she in turn finds a boy she can more easily relate to. The two work well together, and in Soul Society, fought alongside one another several times. Uryuu may or may not have romantic feelings for Orihime, but ironically, she does not notice this.
