iron man

i've been a very silly girl, but hopefully everything is slowly going back to normal.

watched iron man today with shibao and that was a happy thing. was supposed to go with chris but then she had stuff to do so she gave me a hug instead! about iron man:

i still can't stand how these comic book adaptations always have to have requisite bad guy lording ego over helpless hero scenes, and stupid bimbo girls. at first i thought pepper was some sort of intellectual lovelorn lady, but then she started going all airhead on me. what a disappointment..

but that said, the rest of the women in the movie were pretty good on the eyes. 8D and i suppose her 5-inch heels made up for it. :|

at some parts the image of r2-d2 really came into mind, and sandy places keep making me laugh because i start confusing star wars and iron man ;_; it's all the fault of lucasfilm. snarky robots are <3, anyway. so are kick-ass suits that can let you fly.

one thing, though: i don't really get why the afghans need to look so stupid; aren't the amerikans afraid that terrorism will bloom after this film is released, or something?

..but then again, terrorists probably don't watch hollywood films, so i suppose they're safe. and even if they did, i don't suppose the big US of A would give any care to it, seeing as they've been surviving on sheer foolhardiness. anyway the point is that i wished the movie wasn't so one-dimensional at times. it can get pretty annoying, and only diminishes my opinion of superhero movies/comics.

that said, waiting a hell of a long time for the credits to roll was worth it. NICK FURY <3 hehe that was like, when the tiniest bit of superhero comicbook geek in me reared its head and cackled at recognising S.H.I.E.L.D and the avengers. but i don't suppose anyone understands what i'm trying to say..

going for things, friends, movies, happy times (:
