wednesday "trng"
today was brilliant.
we threw mr kaw a surprise party in true nydc style (like rach did for me and i did for rach, i miss those days, i do. ♥♥), and i quote eewei/hsien when she said,"how could mr k be so oblivious!", upon his refusal to come up to the conference room, on account of Having Important Emails to Send Out.
after some head-desky moments, we had an awfully chocolate party comprising cake, ice cream and a lot of milo packets, +huuuge birthday card and towel-masquerading-as-a-slice-of-cake. and a lot of cam-whoring (melanie, who is surprisingly good at it) and screaming (everybody else, who was trying to keep a bloody balloon afloat) and pretexts for prying into mr k's love life. hilarity ensues.
the girls wrapped the present in OUR CASES (ie. all the freaking paper we used on the pedra branca/ un is failure cases last week), totally putting a new spin on the phrase "re-using our cases". >D and i guess what i really didn't expect was that they'd turn the party into a semi-thank-michelle-for-screaming-at-us-and-our-cases-party, so that was a really happy surprise. ♥♥
after last week, this really brings it all back. life is bad, and then life is good.
and times like these make it all worthwhile.
