The Calm Before the Storm

Dec 21, 2007 10:49

Things are about to get hectic. Starting on the 23rd through the 28th I now have about 13 pet stops a day. Finding time to see my family on Christmas will be difficult. Worse, our software system which tracks all of our appointments and holds all of our client details is malfunctioning today. Without access to the appointments it will be a nightmare to get client addresses, alarm codes, lock box numbers and specific pet care instructions... Everyone at work is scrambling to get things in line for the coming week and hopefully the software problem will be resolved before the rush. At least today and tomorrow are relatively light work days. I have three stops today and only one tomorrow. Maybe it's the stress or anticipation of whats to come but I have been feeling pretty miserable physically lately. For the last few nights when I settle down at home for the evening I have been getting a sharp pain in my stomach. I feel it happen once and a while throughout the day when I'm walking a dog or if I twist my body to look behind me while I'm driving or sometimes just randomly. Still during the day it's not as bad, it's a sharp pain that seems to quickly go away. At night however it gets much worse and makes it hard to get comfortable and therefore hard to sleep. At least after the Christmas season is over work is going to slow down significantly. I am going back to school on the 7th for winter term. I Love winter term, it's such a comforting time to be in school. Anyway my grandpa just got here to pick up some stuff and I have to go to work soon so happy holidays to everyone and remember to enjoy your family and friends because when you can't it feels terrible!

medical, crazy, family, work
