internship is done!
school is done! got an A. graduated with a 3.84. sang the national anthem at graduation. very exciting business.
job is almost done.
wow. when will a new beginning come my way?
in fact, a new beginning was offered to me quite recently. I was offered a job at the austin chronicle as a proofreader. i know, i know. it sounds sooooo cool. and i'm sure it would have been, but i decided not to take it because it pays very little and I wouldn't have been able to support myself. had i been living at home or in a comfortable roommate situation, i would have JUMPED on it because it's something I know I would have really enjoyed. but i just couldn't do it. and i think that i'm worth a little more than $10 an hour. That's almost what I'm making working at the rockin tomato, busing tables and pouring beer. oh well. hopefully, this was the right decision.
now i'm in the midst of applying to other jobs.
i think i'm probably going to be moving home for a little while, hopefully not a long little while.
other news--my sister Neala, who has always been a constant in my life, is moving to Oregon. for good. she gave in to her fiance and is going to move there with him so that he can have a job. he has been so unhappy here because there is no work for chaps like him. wow. big changes.
but, in the words of my fellow pizza co-worker Evan, it's amazing how heavily we resist change, yet how easily we adapt to it.
i suppose i'll just have to make like pocahontas and go wherever the wind takes me. which is cool, cuz she's hot.
