If you were wondering where I went....
I haven't posted in a long time, but several of my friends and clients are on LJ and reminded me about it.
I'm always networking on myspace, but I figured I'd post here and get the word out, in case people don't read my bulletins on myspace...
So I moved to a new salon. It's really awesome. The Bella Union in Lower Haight.
I'm much happier there except one thing. I'm not busy enough.
I kinda got screwed at Carlton Hair. They gave me and my clients the run-around for about 6 weeks (just enough to get most of my men's haircut's and a few clients coming in during the holidays). They suspended me twice in a month and then had a "meeting" with me, saying they were going to let me go.
They didn't give an actual reason!
So...I'm out of the corporate world, and back on my own, which is better.
Except for the fact that they are lying to whoever asks them saying everything from "I don't know where she went" to "I heard she moved to LA, I can refer you to another stylist".
Most of them don't want another stylist, they want me.
But given no choice they went to someone else.
So I'm just trying to get the word out where I am to as many people as possible.
