First encounter with something small, red that feels like powder when you touch it

I TOUCHED A REAL, LIKE REALLY REAL 2-WEEKS-OLD BABY!!
My mother's co-worker gave birth to her baby while we were on holiday. *-* So we could visit little Balázs only now. Maaan!! He's SO SMALL! He was still sleeping when we arrived, and I could touch him - I have never-ever-ever touched something so soft *-*
I took care of - well, not a lot of - but quite a lot kids. xD The youngest one was 2 years old (THAT was hell). And I have only seen a baby on pictures... I never imagined that they are REALLY this small! Dang if I was the mother, I would be afraid to hold them xD Like they broke in my arms, or fell and idk...
After a while Balázs woke up... waaa he has such beautiful blue eyes... since "every baby is born with blue eyes here" (I was born with black eyes -> I'm a mutant...?) LOL
I sooo wanted to touch his cheeks but... I was afraid I'd do something and the baby would go wrong xD so I was poking his legs and arms. xD
It's just soooo damn unbelievable that that small thing can breathe o____O
