Guy Gavriel Kay has a new book out? How did I miss
this???
Off to a bookstore I go!
Aww, and to make matters even worse, I missed him doing a reading from this on Jan. 23 at Hart House! This may well be the first Guy Kay novel I own that isn't signed.
Must get internet connection at home since I'm too busy to surf the net much at work anymore...
UPDATE:
I did indeed pick up Kay's latest last night, Ysabel. I tried going to Pages first, because I try to support the smaller booksellers, but they were out of copies, and because I just couldn't wait, I ended up buying it at Indigo, where it was 30% off, plus I get another 10% off because I have one of their reward cards because I buy waayyy too many books. So yeah, I'm bad and supported the huge book chain. But oh well because when I picked it up and clutched it happily to me, it just made everything all better :) ANYWAY... this book looks like a bit of a departure of late for Kay, who has been writing fantasy/historical fiction for the past... whack of books. But Ysabel is set in our world with the fantastical elements showing up here. So its still even different than the Fionavar Tapestry, which started out in our world, but relocated rather quickly to the fantasy world. So, I'm looking forward to reading Ysabel, as I look forward to reading all Kay's books.
