Went to the Jays game last night, and yup, watching baseball is still pretty darn boring. They were playing the Oakland A's, but from the 500 level at the Dome, its really only a bunch of tiny guys wearing white playing against a bunch of tiny guys wearing grey.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate how difficult it is to hit a small, white ball that's coming at you at nearly 100mph with a stick, as I once tried the 'pro' setting at a batter's cage just to see what it was like... I didn't even see the damn ball before I heard it smack into the tarp behind me; but damn, I still cannot watch baseball. And its not like I don't understand the game, I played softball for a number of years when I was young and I can usually get into any sport when I'm there, because, well, in general, I like sports. But I also know I need a little bit more action in my sports. Ok, I need a lot more action in my sports, maybe if there'd been a nice brawl or something like that?
So, we took some pictures (Milton Bradley's name struck my friend as particularly funny and so that had to be documented), then we headed out, having lasted only four innings. There was Brisco County Jr. to be watched y'know :)
