Sunday
Yesterday I went to the 10:00 Mass, it was the Teen Mass, and very nice! Judy had a few girls singing with the Guitar Group, all the teen Eucharistic Ministers served, and of course, one of the teens read. It's great to see the teens so involved in the church! It was very enjoyable, however I missed going to Choir. I love being with everyone, hearing their voices behind me and playing with. I kept thinking to myself "better get used to it, since I'm going to NIU in the Fall!!"
After Mass I got ready and left for the VFW in Tinley for Katie's Wedding Shower. It was the first one I've gone to by myself, as in "without Mom!" I sat with Jill and we chatted the entire time. I had a ton of fun!! I met some more friends of Katie and even met another Live Journal user, Phil, and she seems great! I look forward to getting to know her better and seeing her again! Katie got a lot of cool stuff!!! She and Tim are going to be totally set up when they move into their house in May.
Afterwards I went to visit Justin briefly and show him my new outfit (I went shopping Thursday and bought a pair of shoes, a pair of dress pants, and a sweater for a grand total of $23!), and went back home. My feet hurt, though, because those great shoes I bought are actually too small.
I thought they were perfect at first, but my toes are scrunched and they are hard to walk in. That figures!!! At home I worked out with weights with Mom, did some *more* homework (even on Spring Break, it never ends!!!) and chatted online with Elena. It was cool because we used the direct connect so she could hear my voice. Sadly her microphone wasn't really working, and I could only very faintly hear her. Hopefully someday we will be able to chat like that!!! Cool, inexpensive way to chat long distance!!! Towards the end of the night I also had a chat with Tim, which was *really* nice. I miss him greatly. We talked about memories and things we wish could happen, even about just reliving a memory for a short time. I miss the entire group, Elena wasn't I just telling you how much I missed my old high school group? Things have changed *so* much, and no one really knows each other anymore. It's sad, but tis life, as well, and nothing can be done ... if we all walked the same paths, we wouldn't be living our own lives.
Today is a long day at work. Harriet isn't here today because her Mom fell and broke her hip (again, poor thing) this morning. So I'm the Main Girl today, and probably tomorrow. ::sigh:: I'll probably work more than my allowed 20 hours a week this week, but the extra I do work can be applied in other areas when I don't make 20 for whatever reason. I could use a big fat paycheck. I *hate* being here all day long ... it sucks the BIG ONE.
I'm sick again, got the cold back. Dang it!! It was just leaving, and that's where a few sleepless nights gets me: back to where I started. ::sigh:: Starting tonight, I think at 9:30 I'll take a half a dose of NyQuil and get some decent rest. What sucks is that I have to be at work tomorrow at 8 ... to cover for a probably absent Harriet.
