Wow, so I last posted on Friday, but that was early afternoon. Alrighty, let's see what I have to tell you.
Friday: Right before I left for work, I did something odd. I searched on Facebook for a kid on my block I spent the first 10 years of my life hanging out with ... and I found him!! Cole Kervin, who'd have thought. At first he didn't remember me, but he does now, and it's just so cool to make that kind of connection. I think I have a knack for reconnecting with people from my past. It is so nice to talk to him again, after damn near 10 years. So anyways, I left work and took my paycheck to the bank and deposited all of it. Dang ... no can touchie. Oh well. I got home, and a few minutes later Justin came over to get Anthony, they were planning a hang out. I talked with him for a bit, chatted with Mom, and just after 6:30 Lindsay came and got me. We had a *great* catchup!! Her mom paid for our dinner since we rarely see each other, which was really nice because we were both hard up for cash! We had a fantastical time, as always, and despite my resolve not to spend any money, I ended up buying 2 pairs of nice jeans, 2 tank tops (brown and white), and a green shirt to go over it. Ended up spending damn near $60, but $45 went on the Kohl's charge card, so I'll pay for it later ... *sigh* but it needed to be done. Got home around 10:00, stayed up til late playing the Sims and reading.
Saturday: woke up around 8:00ish, I think? Mom and Dad went out around noon; Anthony went to work around 2; Matt went to play with Andrew around 2:30; I played the Sims by myself til 3:30 when Justin got to my house. We left immediately and went to Church at mine, and then we went back home. Anthony had Ben over, and they ordered pizza; Mom and Dad already ate, and Matt wasn't home, so Justin and I ordered Chinese it was a nice treat. We ate it at home, and then we went to see Ice Age 2. It was sooo funny!!! I'd *definately* buy it, and I want to get the first one too. Definately cute!! The 7:30 show we went to see was sold out, so we bought tickets for the next show and went and sat in the car for a half-hour and waited. We really should have stayed inside, and because we didn't, we still ended up having to sit up front, which I don't really care for, but it wasn't horrible either. Justin came back to chill for another half hour at my house after that, we just laid around and talked til we were too sleepy and then he went home and I went to sleep.
I forgot to change my clocks ahead. So ...
Sunday I woke up at 8:00, because I figured that I'd give myself plenty of time to wake up and get ready to meet Jill at IHOP at 9:30. Well, 10 minutes after I woke up, I realized my horrible mistake - that I'd forgotten to set my clocks ahead - and it was really 9:00, and I was going to be late!!! So I called her up, and booked!!!! Luckily I had set my clothes out the night before, and I was showered and clean, so I brushed my teeth, ran a brush through my hair, and was out the door by 9:20. It took me about 15-20 minutes to get there, and she pulled in at the same time I did.
We had a great visit, not to mention a great breakfast, heehee. I love visiting with her; she's truly a great person!! I really enjoyed going to her church, Standing Stones. It was friend day, and so she invited me as her friend ^^ I got a pretty carnation, which was exactly what I'd been wanting recently!! Went right home and put it in some water, and hopefully I'll have it for a few weeks. The sermon was very nice and taught me a lot! It was kind of tearful too, for me, and for Jilly too. I hope to go back there sometime, and she even said she'd love to come hear us at St. Pats! I wish I could have hung around and visited some more, but I had to babysit.
Sooo .... I went home to put my flower away and change into jeans, a sweater, and gym shoes, because there was no way I was watching 3 kids ages 6, 4, and 15 months in dress pants, a pretty shirt, and heels. I was glad I did change, because I was there from 1:30-9:00!! Sammy, the 15 month old, was sick, and so he was really need-to-be-held all day long; Cassi, the 4 year old, was crabby as heck, so I had to argue with her, which is difficult enough because she doesn't form her words all the way and it's very hard for me to understand her. Christian had *wwwaaaay* too much energy, so I had to try to keep him quiet while trying to get the other two to *please* take a nap!!! Cass didn't nap, so she cranked all the way through dinner and then crashed at 5:30 and slept til my Aunt came home at 8:45. Sam was up-down on my shoulder. He'd sleep 45 mintues and be up and hour, then sleep again, etc ... my shoulders got tired!!! He'd cry the minute I put him down. In a way, it was nice to be able to just *sit* all day long, ha. I even got a little nappy in myself. Watched King Kong with Christian, which I found funny because it was like watching it alone, sort of. Creepy!!!! Sad ending, though, damn it, and you know how much I hate sad endings. *tear*
Once home I did some homework and finished up my report cards for CCD. Went to be just shy of 11:00. Truthfully I'd wanted to sleep since about 6:00, which is why I ended up dozing off while my kids slept.
Well that brings me to this morning ...
I dropped off the Report Cards on my way in to work, and was late because of that and the rain made everyone slower, AND the stupid construction on 88th Ave ... what the hell are they doing, anyways????? Was only about 6 min late, but it bugs the hell out of me because I'm not, normally. Harriet isn't here today, something with her Mom, so I have a long, lonely day by myself up front. I've done my Theory Homework, and attempted to do an assignment that was due a week ago now, and I just don't get what the hell I was supposed to do, so I'll have to ask her ... oops. *sigh* Oh well, I guess. I wrote a few messages on Facebook, and now I'm going to post this and get back to Theory and other stuff. In an hour and a half I'll be off to class, and we'll take it from there.
Tomorrow I will work in the afternoon, since I have CCD on Wednesday, and God forbid that someone here in this office stays an extra day for Adrienne, oh my goodness, no. Irritation!!! Oh well, though, at least I'll have this Wednesday off, and that's a plus.
Better get cracking on the remaining Theory homework; it would be nice to play some games or listen to some music up here!!
PS - I had so many tags that I ran out of room ... damn!!
