Happy Early Turkey Day!

Well, we are approaching that time of year when we meet with our long-lost relatives and stuff are faces full of food, to the point of making ourselves physically ill. Ahh yes...Thanksgiving. Gotta love it.

I'm going to be going over to my dad's house for lunch tomorrow, and then tomorrow night I'll be going to Breaux Bridge for dinner with my stepdad's family. Suffice it to say, I'll have put on about 5 pounds by the time the day is over. That's not good when you're trying to squeeze yourself into a wedding dress, and I do mean "squeeze."

We're planning on having the Musumeche's over at my mom's for dinner on Friday. I'm really looking forward to that since our families really haven't met yet. My stepdad is going to cook gumbo and boudin balls...mmmm(:

So, those are my plans for the "break." I'll be coming back to BR to finish my eight billion (not exaggerating) assignments and study for finals. I REALLY can't wait for this semester to be OVER!!!!!

Oh, on a lighter note, Steven and I had dinner with his sister, Melanie, and her family (Tim-husband, Kelsie-daughter and our flowergirl, Trevor-son), and some of their friends from LSU. It was totally fun. We went to that new place on Siegen...Smokey something?? It was good. Then we went to visit one of Steven's cousins, Michelle, and her family. She and her husband both went to LSUNO Med School. They were very interesting, and they had great stories. Some of them I was kinda like, "Hmm...do I really want to do this??" Haha! I'm really glad that I have them to talk to if I've got questions. They're in Baton Rouge, and they've got a lot of good advice on things like financial aid and housing...which is good because I'm clueless(: Oh! The husband is actually a past student body president which is really cool! Anyway, I have to go to class. Yes, I have class. Dr. Farrar can't part with any of her lectures, so I'm off to learn about nematodes or ectoparasites. Whatever it is she's lecturing on now...I have no idea. I don't pay attention(:

Happy Turkey Day All!
