No...I'm not dead
Well kids, it's been a crazy couple of weeks. It's been quite a while since I've updated this thing. But, just thought I'd clear it up for all of you guys who are wondering...no, I have not dropped off the face of the planet.
I feel like I've been running around nonstop for the majority of this semester...kinda sucks actually(: The upside to being so busy is that the days fly by pretty quickly. The last couple of weekends have been devoted to family and future family visits. I'm not kidding. For the last four weekends before this weekend I was either in New Iberia or Lafayette. Don't get me wrong, I love to visit with all my friends and family...I'd just love to have a day to myself. Or better yet, a day with my fiance. That would be nice.
This weekend was the first that I've spent in the big BR. Friday night I didn't do much other than clean. We had initiation for SAI last night which is always totally fun and congrats to all our new ladies! I got home around 1am and cleaned some more until about 3am then crashed on the couch. I was up for 9am because I had to be in Breaux Bridge to work on something with my godmother for my mother's 50th birthday (it's in December). I'm putting together like a video montage type thing. It's gonna have like 300 pictures and her favorite songs...that kind of thing. It should come out really nice.
The ironic thing is that I spent the better part of my day working on this, and I just spoke with my mom on the phone and she managed to make me feel really bad about something. I just kept thinking to myself,"If she only knew that I spent 6 hours of my Sunday doing this for her." I don't know...maybe I am being slightly selfish. I dunno. My priorities are so out of wack this semester. It's strange. I'm just ready to have a break so I can spend some quality time with my fiance, family, friends, and pets. It'll slow down eventually...I hope.
