I'm so happy I'm miserable

This weekend started what can only be likened to a dirty diaper; you know the stench is coming from somewhere and you'll have to deal with the problem before it gets worse, but you'd rather avoid the mess.  In this case, the dirty diaper is ap tests.

I felt as close to insignificant as possible in math this week.  Also in chemistry, but I fell into a blissful stupor before i had time to start gnashing my teeth.  friday night i came home, and yes, even then i did some calculus. i dont have an ulterior motive in saying that; in conversations and away messages, sometimes people smugly declare they are working, making slackers like me feel even less smart and competent.  They can even be picking at their split ends while playing minesweeper, but as long as they have that away message up saying "im doing all my work right now," they can have the satisfaction of knowing that at least the 20 people reading the away message will feel the urge to brand themselves or perform other acts of self-mutilation.  So, i did study for math.  Nerdy? yes. Fulfilling? no. Helpful? probably not.  But i countered it with doing things i'd forgotten i've had fun doing.

I went to walmart with one of those creme-face mask things on.  I also got out of the shower last night without rinsing off the shampoo, and for the first time ever i've fallen asleep on the couch and on the ground for 2 nights without sleeping in my own bed.  not a big deal, but nevertheless, groundbreaking.  This can mean a couple of things.
  • I am unhappily in love. (if i were happily in love, i'd be washing my hair twice)
  • School has finally gotten to me
  • Im doing too many drugs
  • I dont have enough hemoglobin
so, if someone sees something...wrong or...missing with me, please discreetly point to the affected area(s) or start to shout and wave your hands so that it can be fixed
The movie stacy's pig is in was shown at the prestigious International Family Film Festival at the Canyon Country Edwards.  Although i couldn't go, stacy told me the 4 other people besides herself in the movie theater thought the movie was a work of art and sure to be at the top of each favorites list.  Oscar is now giving out signed pictures depicting him and his costar Michael Jackson posing together.  The movie was called "Miss Castaway," and I can hardly wait until it is put onto film.

And this week, i finally completely finished online bowling and tennis.  Now i only have to do the finals.  I wont complain much about those, since i really created the problems by doing everything so late.  im now an expert at the sports

So, after reading the introduction to the course (tennis-what a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon or enjoy a family outing! How often have you driven past your local tennis courts and wished you could join the fun? Now you can.), i realized that i've driven past my local tennis courts about a million times and i wanted to join in on the fun this time, now that i read the introduction.  i called up my friends stacy, shikha, and ashley to join me at the tennis courts for a game of doubles.  Stacy was my partner, and we used really sly signals like these

to let eachother know what we were going to do.  Sometimes it just looked like stacy was itching or she had a back pain, but we still understood eachother.  I decided to execute a "deep lob" so that i could join stacy in front of the net to later hit a semi-western forehand, but shikha forgot if the ball is supposed to be waisthigh or only hip high on the bounce, so she doesn't know if she has to move forward or backward.  We consult my tennis book (always with me), which gives us a picture like this:

so, after trying about 6 times to get the correct formation (even though shikha returned my deep lob several times), but we have to get the configuration correct in order for BYU to give me an A+ on the assignment.  After an hour, after finally performing the entire routine correctly and stopping to hold our positions like the book suggests after each hit, we decide to quite for the day to play pool, where pictures like this

had double purposes.  Then we went home and studied for our ap tests.

mmm, a majority of school in this.  Good luck to everyone with the studying and during the first week of testing.  Happy birthday Jenny!
