Burning Things...
These last two days have been interesting.
Yesterday, TJ and I went up to my roof to give my gerbil, Damien, a proper going away. We sure as hell weren’t as prepared as we thought we were though. We brought Damien in the little plastic tank, dried flowers, tea candles and my torch lighter. We found a nice secluded corner away from any wires and cables. It was really hard to start a fire because the wind was working against us. So it was kind of ridiculous how we were trying to fuel the fire with paper, empty cigarette boxes and whatever we had in our pockets. We managed to get him to a satisfactory crisp before covering him with some fresh litter and going back down to my apartment.
Today, we spent most of the day inside cooking, working on cleaning up my room and watching killer insect movies on the Sci-Fi channel. We finally went outside, took a walk around the neighborhood, bought some snacks and drinks and went up to the roof again. This time we decided to burn this notebook that I used a couple years ago when I went to all those meetings with Kacie. We actually got a decent fire going and felt good to be ridding myself of her memory and all the drama she put me through.
Now, I’m just relaxing until it’s time for me to work at this Peepshow Party. I was lucky to find the flyer for it just days ago. This comes at a perfect time because I could really use the money this month.
