You just gotta love the internet.
last night while I was happily reading a website, my dsl modem decides it doesn't want me to use the internet.
That happens every now and again, so I was like "oh well, time to reset the modem."
It didn't work. I tried it again. It didn't work.
I tried everything that always fixes the damn internet connection, but nothing worked.
So today I wake up to my mom trying to check her email (the internet was down still, mind you).
She called earthlink...they were fuck-tards and didn't answer the phone.
Award Winning Customer Service my ass.
She had to go to work, so I had to man the phone.
Earthlink's hold-music isn't even good, and then after about 30 minutes it hangs up on you.
So I gave up, and decided to take a nap. (yeah, I know I just woke up, but I was actually woken up by my mom asking me to help her...so not enough sleep. Plus that was about 3 hours prior.)
When I woke up, I decided I've give good ol' earthlink another call, and to my astonishment someone actually picks up...after the chain of automated voice messages, that is. So after about an hour listening to this kooky indian guy asking me to do all this crap to my modem (stuff I already tried last night) we finally try something that works. And ta-da! my internet works agian.
And then the guy decides that I NEED an earthlink router, because that was clearly the problem. SO I hung up on him. I'm using my NON-earthlink router right now and it is working fine. It was the fucking modem's problem, dick head.
and i'm ranting, and nobody cares about this shit.
