New Years!
So it's a New Year! 2005, finally I don't know about anyone else, but 2004 seemed to last forever, then again it is a whole 365 1/4 days long. It would be fairly useless to do a summary of the year, partly because I can't remember half of it, and because almost all the important things show up in my LJ anyways.
So New Years night, what certainly memorable, if not in a good way. An interesting night nonetheless. Basically we were at the cottage, which already foretells the entire event, and we lost power. We didn't have power from 8:30pm till 6am so New Years was spent huddling around the fire and playing cards and Scrabble. We had about 25 tea lights and 8 candles candles lit and scattered amongst the house. We went even sure when midnight was because we couldn't find a watch, even then one was 15 minutes different from the other one. *g* So basically we drank champagne and went to bed. So amusing!(:
On another note my South Africa exchange student arrives tomorrow from New York! I can't tell whether I'm excited to be meeting someone I've been emailing for two months or scared to death that someone is staying with me for two whole months. We will have to wait and see.
