Hey! I'm back from the lovely island of Margarita, where I have spent my last two weeks. Went to the beach, bought loads of candy. ;D
I'm also terribly disappointed at the cancellation of Therion's concert in Caracas. Can't say I'm surprised, but I'm definitely disappointed. :(
Moving on!
18. Inception
This movie is AMAZING. It is a movie that everyone in the world must watch, whether they want to or not. The two and a half hours the movie lasts just fly by and, if I had to find one word for it, that would be intense. I can't recommend it enough. Leo is such an incredible actor, but all the other characters are likeable and amazing in their own ways. Two thumbs up.
19. Despicable Me
So cute. I never expected to like this movie so much, but I really did. It's funny and adorable and did I mention adorable? Because it is. I'd watch it again.
20. My Bloody Valentine
Gory and bad. Some of the most interesting parts were those where you could "feel the 3D". But the story as a whole was terribly weak, and the only refining point was the gore. But the gore couldn't hold up the movie, that's for sure. Do not watch it unless you're really bored and need a laugh or two.
20. The Uninvited
Well, this movie was a huge surprise to me. What started off as a rather harmless movie about a pair of sisters solving a murder mystery with a little ghosts added for seasoning became the biggest mindfuck I've seen since "Shutter Island". I'd say it's... regular? Yeah, let's go with that.
21. My Sister's Keeper
I cried and I am not ashamed to admit it. This movie tugs the heartstrings of any person that has ever met another human being. Of course, if you have siblings, it's even worse, trust me. It's very touching, very human, and I'd recommend it for anyone who doesn't mind spending an entire movie with watery eyes.
P.S.: Also, while I'm writing this post, I'm going to pimp out Neil Gaiman's novels for the sole reason that the endings are perfect. I could not imagine a more suitable ending for either American Gods or Neverwhere (the two I have read). I really like that about his writing. ;) Both are great, fun books to read, not too difficult, not too slow-paced.
P.P.S.: Crime and Punishment is a must-read. It's long, it's wordy, and there's not much action, but it is a great book. And it's public domain, so no excuses. ;)
Until next time!
