So...I bought my snake. His and/or her name is Yawn. Ball Python. About the length of my arm at the moment, and about two or three months old. It's going to live between 10 and 15 years if I take care of it right. I was going to get the Desert Ghost like I wanted to (no health issues with different morphs, Lisa). However, both of the stores that Susan and I went to said that any color other than the generic color they come in would be expensive. The lowest they mentioned was $500 and the Desert Ghost I wanted was roughly $1200. No thanks.

So far he's been eating live mice but my mother works at Pierce and one of the teachers has a lot of reptiles, including a multitude of snakes in the room and at home. He said that all of his snakes were raised in the stores on live mice but he's managed to get all of them to eat frozen feeder mice, which I'd prefer to do. He said he did it because they're always in stock, but back when he was feeding them live sometimes the stores would be out. Another plus, I guess.

I have a few pictures now that Susan took, but I'll wait to post them until I have a few more. Maybe I can get a shot of him with a mouse head sticking out of his mouth.
