It's not everyday I feel like updating, but it seems people are wondering where I am.
The southern suburbs, Cape Town. I'm in the library at the University; you know, those red tile roofs, the stairs and ivy; that veritable fortress on the hill, citadel for higher learning.

It's overcast and the wind is whipping in with regularity. Winter semester is well underway. I got good grades last semester and went traveling.

Mozambique-Malawi-Zambia-Zimbabwe.
By bus and minibus, in the back of trucks, by plane, often in a rush,
or slow. There's so much contiguous land to see, but I..
But I want to go to Madagascar, if only it was easy,

'And you know, I'll pay for gas if you take me,
your dhow will make it through the channel,
those potato sack sails are sure, we'll
withstand what will, that island had to populate
somehow, leave it to me.'

Traveling was amazing! My memories are vivid, I can almost see them reflected in the wind screen. I did what I could in five weeks and had fun, felt safe and well. From Maputo to Lake Malawi, beside Kafue, Mosi-oa-Tunya, and Harare. I'll return to Zimbabwe as soon as the school schedule provides me with a window, I'll jump, but won't speak openly against the king, and will bring plenty of foreign currency.

But, I've been back, and all these unaswered e-mail's will be dealt with, presently!
So, a ceasefire, but pull troops out, surrender arms.
I don't care if your a US backed Somali warlord, an army official stationed in Seoul, or the whole troupe of fundamentalist settlers on Palestinian soil. Lay down your arms for love of the world;
Whether the state is your enemy, or you're sick of greed,
maybe you're being targeted for your name, face and dress, or what you read.
We're way outside. We've forgotten what is.
So caught up in image, pulling in every direction,
we're headed for calamity,
emergency!

It makes sense to update more.
