Faire was quite good...it was nice to be back home. Got a few more items for my garb, and now I'm looking like a rogue/pirate...I'm foregoing the chainmaille vest, since it doesn't quite fit my desired look, and it's heavy as shit without pads under the shoulders and collar.
-Black ruffed shirt, frilled down the centre, and buttoned halfway, with wide sleeve cuffs (usually pulled to mid-elbow)
-Black Crownguard pants, baggy, with a blue inlay down the outside of each leg
-Brown leather boots, upper-shin length, with grommets on the side for side-lacing
-Mahogany-coloured bracers, to mid-forearm, with buckle-style clasps
-Black leather belt with square cutouts and silver rivets, worn around mid-torso
-Black leather drawstring pouch, worn on left side, hung from belt
-Blue sash (same colour as pant inlay), double-wrapped around hips, with both ends hanging long from right side
-Burgundy-coloured bandana, wide, worn around head and under hair (Jack Sparrow-esque)
And that's my basic garb now. Looking to find a blue bandana to match the other blue parts...then I can match.
More or less mastered the Box-chain, Byzantine/Full-length, and Dragonscale Maille weaves this past weekend. Made two bracelets (soon to be bracers) and a choker using the Dragonscale...I think I've found a new favourite weave for masculine jewelry. It's very bold, square, and in-your-face, using about three different styles compressed into one kickass weave.
Got to figure out when Pirate Weekend is...and what other weekends I'll be able to go. Plus, there's the PA Ren-Faire with Corvus Corax performing two weekends in October. That will simply own.
Guess that's about all for now. Thanks to Phil for coming all the way out here to grab me for that.
