Minor rant about FFVII here....ahh, finally it is getting bright and colourful and so of pretty high standard in general.
Except that the game seems to a bit too bloody easy. Every boss battle I've had so far has been a piece of cake.
The one exception to that was when  I couldn't be bothered to catch a Chocobo and viciously attackedb that swamp serpent thing, and was doing quite well up to the point it started doing over 1000 damage.

Also...on the fewer occasions that I get to fight monsters, they give me crappy experience. 9 and a half hours of gameplay. I'm still not even Level 20 yet. In FFIV you can get to level 20 within the first two hours ALONE. It's ridiculous.
Which is giving me the impression that....this is going to be a LONG game.
....or it's going to be a game of average length with a billion cutscenes. One or the other. Or both.

But long = epic, as my tastes in literature show. If I see a really huge series with 12 books in it or something I'll leap at it. I probably won't finish it, and I'll waste money on them, but that won't occur to me because I like length. :)
Usually, that is. When I write stories I go around confidently announcing THIS IS THE FIRST VOLUME PART A OF 55 IN A QUADRILOGY OF 20 BOOKS and then I never even finish the first one because I've lost heart by then.
