Ever since he was told that he was Michael’s vessel, Dean has felt like he’s nothing but a sock puppet, throwing a tantrum because he doesn’t want some dude sticking his hand up his behind and taking control of his life from him. And yet, everyone he meets, every event that occurs in his life, just keeps on reminding him that he is nothing but a sock puppet that needs to stop pretending to be a man. That having a hand up his ass is his destiny.
I love this entire paragraph, from beginning to end. It's a perfect illustration of Dean's situation, colored with appropriately Dean-ish bitterness and humor.
I'm also enjoying the entire story. It's really interesting to see the brothers so far outside of their country, and even farther outside their comfort zone in so many ways. And the idea of a false Castiel was brilliant!
I'm eager to finish reading, but I had to stop and let you know how much I like this story.
