You have Bobby's voice down so well; my favorite was "Which was retarded, of course". Caustic and loving, all at once. And him knowing Dean so well that he not only knows how to motivate him, but that it's just not going to work this time.
Good catch on Dean realizing too late that future!Dean failed with the Colt (although it could have just been that Lucifer got to him before he could shoot). Ooh, hey, that means they've already changed the future, since future!Dean wouldn't go after Lucifer with the Colt now that he knows it doesn't work, which means Lucifer won't be snapping his neck in the garden. I suddenly feel a lot more hopeful. :)

Yeah, I was sharing this exchange with a friend today, and she made this same point, therefore crushing the hope I had managed to create for myself. *sigh*
That's another great catch on the parallel. Sacrificing everyone except Sam, of course--because that's the key difference between the currently unfolding future and the one Dean saw, and I have to believe that's going to make a difference.
