That's even easier when you are one and the same. For Goodreads go to this link (you get it when you click the author name) http://www.goodreads.com/author/confirm/834272.Jo_Andrews... )

Oh, thank you! I’ll do everything you suggested. I’m so clueless about marketing and EC isn’t really helpful about telling their authors what to do. Silhouette was even worse - they just did it all and never told one a thing.

I don't have a clue about marketing either. I know that other authors post about new books on their website / blogs. Or have people review books (sometimes before publishing - ARC ?) who have book blogs that are reviewing books. If you want to buy a book and it's already rated, it's helpful.

I've even seen in one of the last emails I've got that they some have founded a firm together that offers "one stop assistance for anything a busy author needs help with". (But they aren't telling what they cost - that's not helpful.)

Maybe when you google you've find an author blog or article how to promote your books. Ah doesn't an agent do some kind of promotion for you? Or maybe know about it.

I know Ellora's Cave sends the story out to book blogs and other reviewers like Romantic Times, etc. I hope I'll get some good reviews there. Legally I don't have the right to send the story to anyone without EC's approval. They don't want people getting the books free, for which I can't blame them.

I am trying to find out more through Google and other writer's blogs. I would love to get an agent, but they won't even look at your work unless you're an already published and successful writer. It's more difficult to find an agent that it is to find a publisher.
