Hero USB update

This blog has movedHi, quick update on the status of this. Last week I switched to using the codeaurora.com driver source as it supports proper USB OTG switching, and also has board specific tweaks ( Read more... )

Thats great news! Can't wait to test it out :) have you had a chance to look into powering the usb devices directly from the Hero?

Yes, actually, the codeaurora stuff has the code to control USB output power. I suspect its probably still hardware dependant though, so although I know how to do it now, I don't know if the hero can do it yet.

Gotta tell you Andrew... I'm a big fan of your hacks. I've been following your post on xda-developers about removing the Hero's security and CID locks. Where did you get the information to create the hackspl code?

Anyway, this could be the only solution for the latest perfected SPL on Hero and Magic... I'll let you know if I brick my phone :)
