Shopping Goodies

The first Saturday of every month is 50% off day at the Goodwills of Middle Tennessee.  Even though I know it's going to be a madhouse, I try to head to one to see what I can pick up.  This month was particularly important since the weather's getting colder and the kids could use some warmer clothes.  I got some really cute outfits for the boys (including this Mickey Mouse sweater that Teddy absolutely fell in love with).  Rich picked out a few shirts for himself and I got a warm, snuggly cable-knit sweater.  But the big score of the day was a set of the basic WoW discs.  I've been wanting to play WoW for awhile now, especially since I have so many friends plying.  So now I'll (hopefully) be able to start as soon as we either get this computer fixed, get one of our other computers fixed or get a new computer (early next year is the plan).  And even if it doesn't work, being a used disc and the like, we're only going to be out $2.50  So I really can't complain.  All in all, it was a great trip to Goodwill.  Next weekend will be our other temptation... 2nd Saturday Booksale. And, being their November sale, everything is half off.  Luckily, we bring cash instead of our checkbook so we can't overspend.

I've picked up a few goodies for the boys for Christmas.  I picked up a new Pokemon Micro set for Teddy.  This one is a gym inside and I know he's going to love it.  And I got bristle blocks for Peter.  Rich picked up a Thomas the Train playset for both of them.  I still have more shopping to do for Christmas - Teddy's big gift is going to be a bike, which is on sale on Black Friday for $50.  But at least I feel like I've gotten started.  My mom has already gotten the gifts for the boys - she's picking up Pillow Pets for them.  So they're going to have a happy Christmas, I'm sure.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on heading down to Big Lots.  They're having a big sale on toys and games, so I'm going to take a look at what they have their.  Not going in for anything in particular, but sometimes it's nice to just look and get from there.
