Teddy's first marriage proposal
While I was dropping the boys off at PDO, one of Teddy's classmates and her mom arrived. Janey (his classmate) kept saying, "Teddy, you need to meet my Daddy! You've got to meet my Daddy!" as they were walking down the hill toward us. Her mom explained that Janey talks about Teddy all the time. Her dad jokingly said that he'd have to meet this Teddy. (Though her mom assured him that Teddy was a good kid.)
While we were talking, Janey was talking to Teddy (though he wasn't too keen, it seemed to me). Then she turned to me and said, "Excuse me. I want to marry Teddy."
Her mom and I started laughing and Janey got so indignant. "It's not funny!" We assured her that it wasn't funny but it was cute. And that we'd wait a few years to decide about the wedding.
I don't think Teddy was too keen on it, though. He just kind of stood there with his finger in his mouth, not saying anything.
It made my morning!
