Good-bye, LJ Idol

Feb 19, 2010 20:23

I was eliminated in this round of voting. I don't know how close I was to staying in because Gary was the keeper of the blind votes, but I'm actually ok with this. I know that my writing was off this season. I couldn't find the groove, I struggled to find good topics and the right words. I felt like I was always getting down to the wire with each topic - a far difference from my participation 2 seasons ago.

I'm going to continue with the Home Game. I need to see if, now that I'm not working nights and the boys are in PDO two days a week, I can make a schedule without the feeling of hopelessness that I sometimes found this season. And if I can... well, then I'll be back and ready for Season 7. Because I know that I have it in me to be a winner. It just wasn't there this time around.

As I said in the eliminations thread, thank you to everyone who commented, complimented and voted for me. Your support helped keep me going. Those of you that have friended me because of LJ Idol, I hope you stick around. I can't promise words of wisdom... heck, most of the time it will probably be flashes into Life with Boys, Dealing with Depression, Coping with Housework and the Need for Weight Loss. But there may be a few gems in there from time to time.

Thanks again for the enjoyable ride, Gar. Sorry I had to get off so soon, but the journey was worth it regardless.
