So I just slipped in the shower. Wait-- I know, I know, who does that? Well, somehow, I managed to do that today. And I was lucky enough to have my hand land on my razor, which just so happened to be lying with the razor edges up.
The skin on my pinky is in lovely little ribbons, as well as leaking blood at a surprisingly fast rate.
Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem. Bandaids to the rescue, right? I mean, both my parents are doctors, we should be bound to have bandaids somewhere in the house. But wait, these are my parents. This is the house that has everything except for the things that we actually need. We have no bandaids.
We do, however, have sterile gauze pads.
And scotch tape.
Voilà! Makeshift bandaid. It looks really sketchy, but it works. If I had a digital camera I would take a picture of it, and we could ooh and ahh over my ability to think while my poor pinky is in pain. Now how's that for alliteration. Except I didn't take the time to cut the gauze pad into the size of the cut. So I have gauze wrapped around my finger and it looks really odd.
