Yesterday
So yesterday was just an altogether very good day. There was Meet of Champions at Holmdel, where I was pleasantly surprised by how well we did. Amanda came in 5th. Meaning, she's the 5th best runner in the state. And I came in 50th. Which is pretty damn good. I mean, think about it. 50th, out of over 200 runners on that day, and factor in all the other schools that didn't even qualify for the meet. Mm. It's enough to make someone feel overly proud of a physical feat. You can keep your intellect, at least I get medals. Just kidding. The team as a whole ended up 10th in the state. We crushed Mount Saint Mary's. Oh, revenge is always nice. They came in 13th. And another surprise! I saw Mimi [or Michelle, I guess], at the meet. Wow. It's been what, 5 years? And I would link her LJ, except I don't know how to do that. I am so LJ challenged.
Saw the school play last night. And it was just. Amazingly. Wow. Honestly, I had no idea that there were people that talented at my school. And although some people had trouble with southern accents [and therefore didn't bother], everyone's acting was just... wow. I wish I could act. I don't have a clue whether I can or not, but I doubt I'd be able to do anything to the effect of what they did.
Oh, and then team sleepover. That was fun. Even though all we did was eat, watch a movie, and sleep, it was still always fun. I'm going to miss my seniors immensely next year. What are we going to do without them? Collective sighs.
