The Scene Aesthetic
I give them four stars. Only because there are a couple songs on their album that I don't care for. The rest are spectacular, especially "Yellow Birds & Coal Mines". It's oddly the only song sung by girls on the album so it's a little different than the rest of their stuff- though most of it is equally as spectacular. Check them out.

The Spill Canvas
So I was listening to MTV the other morning as I was getting ready for school... I know, shoot me. I was up early and wanted music as I got dressed. Anyway- there was a video by them and it intrigued me so I looked them up, and oh my god, lemme just say... AWESOME. Five stars. Though I haven't gotten past the 7th or 8th song on their latest album because those songs are just so amazing I can't stop listening to them.
Highlights: Reckless Abandonment, All Over You (the one I heard on MTV), Battles, The Truth, and Hush Hush.

Holy cow. One of my friends told me I should check her out because I liked Jem so I did because I'm a whore for good music. Anyway... I just got it all downloaded and started with her latest album and got halfway through when one song blindsighted me and was like like WOAH AMAZINGNESS. The rest were really good and sounded great but something just struck me about this song so I've had it on repeat for the last 45 minutes. Haha. Anyway, five stars. <3
