This drabble is really good, so Michael. And the pics, especially the last one, my favorites. (mein Bild?) You are right there were stereotypes but for me it's just right. It gives a lot of insight in Michaels world. He is in the closet at work, he goes the " normal" way like his coworkers, and there is a lot of countrymusic in the US. And country is for these normal people which are living a normal life which Michael is pretending to live as well. The thumba thumba, thats not working here. But the scene "Brian is so nice" I always thought its kind of a gapfiller, a thing to give B and M a little room. I don't need this scene. I think one of the most impressive scenes between B and M ist on the roof. But help me, maybe I have forgotten but I don't remember another B and M scene which is so good. For me after the roof scene their relationship is going down more and more. The selfishness from Michael goes more and more at the place where their common friendship has been once. But maybe the writers did this well knowing that with the appear of Justin the other relationship will slowly come to an end, even if they are speaking of the Brian and Michael show furthermore. Just my opinion. What is your favorite scene in Ep 2? Mine is the car scene. The speech from Brian, well, there are his life-rules and opinions. I would believe that he really believes what he says if there wouldn't been his eyes which are betraying his words a little bit, what do you think?
I think a lot of the B/M scenes in the beginning are due to the producers not yet being sure where to take their friendship (i.e. making it more than just a friendship - like they did in the UK version). That's why I'm kinda okay with it. In the end, I'm just happy that they never crossed that special line. But I don't think that Michael's selfishness is a product of his ill intentions. He's simply not that sophisticated person that Brian (or Justin) is. His reasoning is very simple, basic. He lives in an almost black and white world. Brian on the other hand is this highly complex person, and I think, most of the time, Michael just doesn't understand him.
My favorite scene in ep 2? That's a tough question. Surprisingly, I ralley like the scene where Brian fucks the trick in the restroom. But emotionally, it would totally be the scene at the car - the talk he has with Justin. And the pic you like so much (ist es dein Lieblingsbild aus dieser Folge oder überhaupt?), I like it, too. I think it's Brian having regrets. Another first for him.
You know that you are partly the cause that I didn't participate at your project earlier. Whe I saw it during my vacation I had trouble with the wifi AND I had to read the stories you told me about. Bit now I'm settled and I love this communication as well as our others. But think about that I didn't re-watch in the last time. I love this picture. I love it generelly and specially for me and my LJ. How can I put it to my name??? Ok, now I reached the first grade English...
Back to the project. Yes, I read that the producers didn't know about the way for Brian and Michael. I understand this: nobody war prepared for this chemistry between Brian and Justin, showed and defined through the both actors. But the producers haven't been blind...
Brian surely is a very complex sensitive openminded person - in some way. He is ist also when it comes the the feelings of his friends an family. When it comes to his own feelings than I would say he can be dump like a piece of old bread and is very circled in his his black and white only world. His rules, said in the car scene as bible- like statements are black and white. I had to grin when I listened the first time, I mean he is 29, not 9 anymore. But after rethinking I changed my mind, these statements are just self-defensness, Selbstschutz, made by himself to survive.
I'm so ashamed about my English. I don't want to ruin your project. Shall I stop posting here????
Your english is not that of a first-grader. As long as I understand you (which I do), we have no problem whatsoever. But if it'd more comfortable, feel free to write in German. I'm fine either way.
Brian's statement about his rules and his refusal to believe in love and so on are so obviously just for self-defense, (which provides the perfect starting point for fic writers, btw.), and makes me love him even more. He's that sophisticated, successful person, yet so completely ill-equipped in the emotional department. It makes me want to hug the stuffing out of him.
The chemistry between Gale and Randy - thank heavens for that!!!! (I think we've already discussed it to death in our emails, haven't we?)

My problem is not to have a really problem with being ashamed of myself. I love to write in English, I cannot write as fast as my thoughts are coming. But I don't want this project to down-level because some hippiflippi woman means she has to talk here without ends. Oh I have so much fun with this. Sue me. To hug the stuffing out of him - that I like really pretty much. You are not alone with this.
