That's what I figured. [A sigh.] Just going to have to suck it up and deal, huh?

Hopefully they'll be fine without me... ["They" being her brother and three friends, but Squall wouldn't know that.]

Well. From what I hear, for some people, time stands still in their home dimension while they're stuck here. So... there's a good chance you're not actually missing anything. If that helps.

Yeah, that's exactly what I need, more time nonsense in my life. [She actually sounds fairly put-off by that idea.] Then I'll have to explain to Jason and the others why I'm suddenly a year or two older whenever I get reunited with them.

Uh, I think you go back the same age you came in at. Almost like this never happened? That's probably why some people if they get brought back don't remember it?

I like to think...that those back home are doing quite well by themselves. They have each other and that also ease some of the anxiety. But still it's never an easy thought to cope with.

Things weren't exactly going too great when I got pulled from my world, though. I know most of my friends can handle themselves, but my little brother Jason's a whole different story.

Brother...oh you poor thing. It's never easy to leave family behind like that. [ He sounds sympathetic. ] I think he'll be alright because your friends are there with him, correct? Surely they'll do what they must to keep him safe!

One's probably punching him out for being an idiot and the other two are probably holding her back.

[.....]

Yeah, I think he'll be fine, then.

Hm. I try to train a lot, to distract myself. School also helps with that.

Okay, so, just keeping busy, right? I could probably put in some more time at the clinic, then.

I'm sure that would be appreciated. I might see you there, then, since I volunteer sometimes.

I'm probably going to be sticking around there a bit longer than I usually do, today, so unless it's like the middle of the night or something you'll probably find me there.

Someone else basically said the same thing just a bit ago. Is that really the case here?

Weird.

And personally, I'd say it feels like a bit of both.
