Wow, can you believe it? Two real posts in two weeks!
I had a lot of family time over the weekend. We spent Friday and Saturday night at my brother’s house. I got to spend time with the baby, and my nieces tried their hardest to drive Michael crazy. It was a lot of fun.
I survived the 5k. I finished in 44 minutes, but I finished :-)
We spent Sunday with Michael’s family, which had it’s moments of drama, but over all was an enjoyable experience. I’m really tired this week from all of the activity this weekend.
I currently have nothing to do at work. Some things don’t change. I have to be here at 5:30 tomorrow morning because I will be going out in the field. Hopefully it will be fun.
I have decided that Don is my dad. I will still refer to him as Pa, but the person who I have heretofore referred to as Dad will now be called Bob. Why the change? Well, while I was at my brother’s, he showed me an invitation that he got in the mail. It was an invitation to Bob’s wedding reception. Brad received his invite a week ago today. I have yet to receive mine. There is also the question of whether or not Bob and Dawn are already married. If so, this is the second time that Bob has gotten married without telling me first. Also, come to think of it, I will have heard about both marriages from a third party. And though I may lament about it for a short period of time, I have decided to remove him from my life, again. But that is okay, because I have Pa. And now with the addition of Michael’s father, a.k.a. Dad Carr, I have more love and support from a father figure than I could ever need (but I’ll take it anyway :-P)
