Ok so I like Target, but I was playing on their website and I decided they are nuts when it comes to the get ready for college page. Now this is me so we know I was looking at the kitchen page, under tools and gadgets things you need for your dorm/first appartment: cast iron trivet, I'm pretty sure there is a minimum age to own a trivet of at least 55. In a typical college rental there is usally so much previous damage coun't yourself lucky land lord if I put down a pot holder, cause you won't know the difference if I don't. Semi-expensive knif sents, my knives were the oldest ones my mom could find in the kitchen cause what is the point of buying good knives, you are going to cut on dulling surfaces cause its easier, and when in a bind those knives will also be used as hack saws and left in the sink for weeks, why get nice stuff? A knife sharpener, ok so this is for the normal student I guess, but would you not be scared if your room mate showed up with a knife sharpener and wasn't a culinary major?
Now they did have one thing that would have rocked, and well Amanda and I should have got one of these and used it on a very regular basis...The 3-spout "Uber Keg Tap", we missed out. I think Josh needs one for his intelectual grad student parties, if it wasn't for driving I think the engineer parties could use one down here.
